HEALTH AND SAFETY Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. Team Trainers or Club officials entering competitors should be satisfied that they have all received adequate instruction in all four phases. Entering their names to compete is acknowledgement that they are satisfied that the competitor is suitably trained and competent to undertake each phase. All non member pc competitors are not covered by the pony club insurance and must have their own 3rd party cover. Area 18 of the pony club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non members and their insurance will not cover you. It is recommended that all horses/ponies are vaccinated against equine influenza as per BEF regulations. However there will be no checks on the day and competitors must enter at their own risk.
COVID-19 – SUBJECT TO REVISION NEARER THE DAY These conditions are subject to change with the developing guidelines and as such we reserve the right to amend the rules listed below. An up-to-date copy will be sent out with event times. Please ensure you are familiar with the latest rules prior to coming to the event. Anyone vulnerable or displaying any Covid 19 symptoms MUST NOT attend. The event site is a regulated area and everyone on site must comply with rules and signage. Everyone on site must adhere to Government guidance on social distancing. You must obey the instructions of our stewards without hesitation. Non-compliance will be reported to your DC and may result in you being asked to leave the showground, forfeiting your entry. It is likely that any competition will come under scrutiny from local enforcement agencies. It is therefore essential that all guidelines on social distancing, restrictions on numbers in any one area and only one adult per member are strictly adhered to. Entries to be made online / before the day. Ride & Run Numbers to be printed off by entrant at home and brought on the day. Your shoot targets will be waiting for you on the range. You will be asked to VIEW them to check they are yours, but they will only be handled by the officials on the range. We must minimise people on site. NO non-essential people will be admitted. NO spectators. Currently ONE support adult per competitor. An extra parent can only attend if written permission is granted by the organisers. The permission email must be carried at all times on the competition showground. We have classes for every age, riding and non-riding. If siblings need to / wish to attend, they should aim to do so as competitors. Competitors to complete their phases and leave as quickly as possible. Please adhere strictly to the timetable. If you miss your time, we are unlikely to be able to fit you in later. Hand sanitising points will be provided and these should be used regularly. Each family must also bring their own hand sanitiser and use it regularly. They should also bring their own PPE (masks, gloves etc) for use in the event that social distancing is not possible. Bringing dogs is discouraged however if it is not possible for you to leave your dog at home then it must remain largely in your vehicle and be exercised occasionally on a SHORT lead.
