If the booking option you would like is not available please contact lyndsay.dring@bhs.org.uk Please chose only 1 Jumping class & 1 Flatwork class at the time of booking. All riders must be able to walk, trot and canter in balance and without assistance to attend camp. Gallops are optional but please also indicate this at the time of booking.

Terms & conditions

General
• All entrants must be a Gold member of The British Horse Society for the duration of the event.
• The BHS cannot accept entries under the age of 18.
• Online entries only before 30th June 2021.

• You will be asked to provide vehicle make, model and registration on arrival.
• Always follow the instructions of the coaches, stewards, and officials.
• It is your responsibility to ensure emergency contact details are correct and up to date.
• Everyone attending the event is responsible for ensuring the safety of themselves and others.
• Facilities must be left clean and tidy at the end of camp with stables and tack lockers being left empty. If this is not adhered to you will not be permitted at future BHS NW events.
• You are responsible for any damage created by your horse to any facilities whilst on site and will therefore be liable for the cost of replacing/repairing.
• Any equipment left behind will be retained for 2 weeks after camp, after which, if not claimed, it will be disposed of.
• Dogs are NOT permitted on site.
• Hostel accommodation will only be available if the restrictions re Covid-19 allow at the time of the camp, numbers may be limited and involve only single/household only occupancy.
• COVID Guideline and restrictions will be reviewed prior to camp and appropriate actions taken and guidance issued.

Riders
• Horse and rider combinations MUST be able to walk, trot and canter in balance and without assistance to attend camp.
• Coaches/event organisers reserve the right to withdraw horses/riders from activities on ground of safety or welfare.
• Hats to the current safety standards must always be worn and correctly secured when mounted. Please check yours meets current standards http://www.bhs.org.uk/headwear
• Body protectors if worn should comply with current standards http://www.bhs.org.uk/body-protectors
• Campers are advised to carry a mobile phone and be aware of the emergency contact numbers for the event.
• All riders must have previous experience of riding the horse they have entered into the event.
• No-one other than the rider listed on the booking form may ride your horse whilst at camp.

Horses/Ponies
• Stallions are not permitted at this event.
• All horses must be over the age of 4 years and of appropriate fitness level for the activity being undertaken - any horses who are not sound or fit enough for the activity undertaken will be retired from the activity by decision of the coach organiser without a refund.
• Any additional bedding and hay/haylage required must be booked with the event organiser prior to arrival.
• Welfare & safety is our priority therefore tack must be suitable, safe and fit correctly, if this is not the case you may not be able to participate by decision of the coach/organiser without eligibility of a refund.
• All horses/ponies must be in possession of a current up-to-date passport and vaccination certificate, showing it is fully up to date with all vaccinations and that a booster vaccination has been administered in the 12 months prior to arriving, but has not had any vaccination in the 6 days prior to arriving. (Further vaccination guidance can be found using the BRC Flu Vac Checker, downloadable here or by consulting your vet). If you are unable to present this documentation when arriving at the event, you will be turned away and will not be eligible for any refund.

Payments and Cancellations
• Bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis via ww.horsemonkey.com.
• The BHS North West Camp - Aintree will be checked for viability around the 1st July 2021. If there are insufficient numbers or Covid restrictions prohibit the event from running it may be cancelled and full refunds will be made.
• A £55 non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of booking to secure your place. Places cannot be reserved without a deposit payment.
• All remaining balance payments for the full amount (£335 Jockey Accommodation or £305 Electric Hook Up) must be paid by 30th June 2021. If you have not paid the remaining balance by this time the BHS reserves the right to allocate your place to another person and your deposit will not be refunded.
• In the case of cancellation by the attendee the £55 non-refundable deposit will be retained. A refund for the remaining balance paid will be made IF your space can be filled OR you can provide a medical or vet’s certificate stating you or your horse will not be able to attend in August.

Data Protection
• Please be aware that photography or recording may take place at this event. Images/videos will be used by the BHS and BHS Accredited Coaches for general publicity including, but not limited to, websites, British Horse magazine and social media.

The aim of this camp is to promote the improvement of riding, training of ponies/ horses and horsemanship in a safe and enjoyable environment. Welfare of horses and everyone’s health and safety is of paramount importance.
