Top Tips for a good Picture
1. Stand the horse up in-hand with a well fitting bridle no other tack should be used
2. Stand the horse up square and on a level surface (not downhill or uphill)
3. Ensure the horse is square to the camera. If the horse is at an angle it can appear distorted or unbalanced in the picture.
4. The best side is the near-side from which to view the horse at first
5. A "cheerful" picture is much more helpful than an "unhappy" one ideally ears will be pricked and the horse will be alert.
6. Ensure the horse is well presented i.e clean and well groomed
7. Ensure a clear view of the limbs is possible i.e there is a lot of tail then be sure to not let it "hide" the hocks
8. Always have the feet neatly trimmed if bare or be well shod
9. Avoid "painting"the feet simply use a clear oil, this is enough
10. Always make sure the horse is not too far away, or too close, so the picture is a good representation to assess
