Please read our COVID controls that have been necessary to implement following lockdown, and taking consideration the venues specific requests....

During club events only the riding members and one accompanying adult (groom) per rider may attend club.

Grooms and non riders are kindly asked to wait in their vehicles and not in the viewing gallery during the lesson at Pencoed College. This is with the exception of lead rein lessons, where the groom must be from the same household or bubble as the rider, and must lead the horse/pony during lessons.

The instructor may have one assistant in the arena during the lesson to assist with poles, jumps etc.

With an exception to members within the same household or within “bubbles” everyone must maintain a minimum of a 2 metre distance from one another

Mounting blocks are generally available to alleviate any need for assistance when mounting their hoses. If assistance is needed members are urged to provide their own mounting blocks/facilities. Leg ups from people outside the same household or bubble must be avoided.

Members must bring their own poo scoops to collect their horses poo in the car parks and after the lesson.

Members must not share equipment or tack and bring their own. Any equipment that a member or their groom has touched must be sanitised afterwards using their own sanitiser. Members are discouraged from touching things whenever possible.

Members and all persons will maintain a minimum of 2 meter distance when helping to put the jumps out or away. It is recommended that face masks are worn when not riding or leading a child on a horse.

There will be no tea, coffee or refreshments. If necessary, people will bring their own for their own consumption.

In the instance of a fall/accident or incident and assistance is required, and the 2 meter distance cannot be reasonably achieved all parties (other from within the same household, or bubble) must wear a suitable face covering.

People attending are reminded to sanitise their hands before touching any doors, jumps, poles, cups etc. and afterwards.

Face coverings and hand sanitiser are to be provided by the people attending the event. Riders to have a facemask in their pocket or somewhere accessible in case of an emergency (fall where attendance is needed).

It is recommended that face masks are worn when not riding or leading a child on a horse.

All persons experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 should STAY AT HOME and seek advice from NHS 111 and request a Covid-19 test.

The three main symptoms are:

• A fever with a temperature of 37.8C or over

• A new persistent cough.

• A loss or change to sense of taste or smell.

Any persons having been told to self isolate should do so and not attend club until the appropriate period has elapsed.

Any persons who has attended club then exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 must notify the Committee immediately, or provide our contact details to the Track and Trace team. Provide 07793972696 as the Covid Lead in the Club.

Persons must not come to club if they have symptoms of COVID-19 and/or have been asked to self isolate.

No-one should leave home to participate in sport if they, or someone they live with have symptoms of COVID-19 and/or have been asked to self isolate.

The club will share information in relation to who has attended club events with the track and trace team if asked to do so.
