Inter-Livery Team Jumping Rules

1. Stallions are not permitted to compete.
2. Riders and horses may only compete in one class per team, so may not ride two horses in the same team or have one horse ridden by two separate riders. Once a rider has jumped for a specific team they cannot then go and jump for another team.
3. Team riders and horses can be interchanged within the same team throughout the league if required but not on the day of the competition.
4. To qualify for the championship each rider/horse combination must of competed at least 3 shows.
5. Teams can gain points irrelevant of number of starters.
6. Extra points will be awarded on the day for Best turned out team, See points section
7. Teams can gain points 1 in every 4 starters so if you have a full team of 4 you will gain 4 points, if you only have 3 starters you will gain 3 points, 2 starters 2 points.
8. Competitor’s scores in the team competition will also count as their individual score for a place in the top 10 individual riders.
9. Rider 1 must be a junior rider 16yrs and under end not competed at BS level on a pony 14.2 and under.
10. Riders 2,3 & 4 can be junior or senior riders competing on a horse or pony.
11. Each team must have a team captain (18yrs or over) to represent their team who can liaise with Golden Valley with any amendments or changes to the team, the team captan doesn’t have to be a rider.
12. Team name is required, yard name followed by the team name.
13. This is a Livery Yard competition so only riders from the same livery yard can compete in the team.
14. Team colours can be worn ie; jumpers, bibs & hat covers etc
15. Any withdrawals, change of rider or horse must be done at least half hour before the relevant class starts. No refunds will be given for any horse or rider that withdraws, the entry can be transferred to another date or event.
16. The showjumping is run under relaxed BS rules.
17. There will be no doubles, fillers will be added in classes 3 & 4
18. Hats must have the unto date kite mark symbol
19. All entries are to be made via, each rider will pay for their own class, horse monkey will require your team name when entering so please make sure everyone on your team has the correct spelling of the team name.
20. If you would like to make a complaint on the day please do so in writing with £50, the £50 will be returned if the complaint is taken serious.
21. First Aid will be provided at a cost of £2.50 per rider for the duration of the day, this will be added on at the time of booking.
22. Maximum of 20 teams per event, please book in early to save any disappointment
23. Times will be allocated, please arrive no less than 40mins before your time slot so you can be ready, you may be asked to jump earlier or later than your time depending on the day. We will not allow you to jump if you arrive after your time slot.

Dress Code:
All riders to compete in white/beige/grey jodhpurs with Team colours or shirt and jacket.

Class format
Classes will run:
Class 1: 30cm & 35cm Junior rider only including lead rein (see rule 9)
Class 2: 50cm & 55cm
Class 3: 70cm & 75cm
Class 4: 80cm & 85m with optional joker fence

How the teams work:
Each rider will jump one class with two rounds, the first round will be a clear round only this will not be timed, the second round will be timed from fences 7-12
Eg: All rider 1’s from each team will jump the first round, if they go clear then they will earn their team points, no points given or deducted for knocked fences, stops or circles See points section
Rider 1’s will then jump the second round fences 1-6, if they knock, refuse or circle a bell will sound after fence 6 for them to leave the arena. If they go clear they will go on to jump fences 7-12 the height will have gone up by 5cm and this section will be timed as a jump off.
Places are based on the top 10 scores from the second round of each class
Rosettes will be unto 6th place for each class.
Team scores will be added up at the end of the league and the top 10 teams will be invited to the championships.

1 point for each team member so maximum 4 points per team
5 points for best turned out team
3 points for jumping the joker clear in the 85cm class
5 points for all clear rounds so if you are placed and clear you will get an additional 5 points.

The top 10 teams with the most points will qualify and the top 10 individual riders with the most points will qualify.

Golden Valley Equestrian Centre Terms and Conditions

1. These Terms and Conditions apply to all competitors and spectators and must be adhered to at all times. Entry into any competition, including the hire of the Centre, shall be deemed an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Golden Valley Equestrian Centre reserve the right to refuse entry/hire without stating the reason, and to cancel the competition and all rights of admission.

3. Any person causing any damage, disruption or unwanted behaviour will be asked to leave the premises and will not be permitted to participate any further in the show.

4. Golden Valley Equestrian Centre do not accept any responsibility or liability for any injury, accident, damage or illness to any person, property or animal whatsoever, or for any loss whatsoever, arising out of, or occurring at any competition, show or event. It shall be a condition of entry/hire of the Centre that each entrant shall indemnify the organisers against any legal action whatsoever arising from any accident.

5. All competitors and attendees must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the officials and stewards.

6. Parents or guardians are deemed responsible for their children and they must be supervised at all times.

7. Please also note that the Collecting Ring area is for the purpose of warming up. It is strictly not a viewing or standing area, nor is it to be used by anyone other than those entered in the current class.

8. BRITISH STANDARD APPROVED HARD HATS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHEN MOUNTED. Full and correct attire must be worn by all competitors when competing or hiring the Centre. For show jumping all competitors and grooms, when mounted, must wear a British Standard skull/hard hat, which must be fastened. Failure to do so will incur elimination.

9. Any individual seen to be causing distress or suffering to any animal will be asked to leave the Centre and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

10. No horse or pony under the age of 4 years shall be ridden at any competition.

11. Any persons responsible for a stallion must ensure that they are secure at all times including within the stables and the collecting ring, and correctly displaying the appropriate FEI approved ribbons and discs.

12. All horses and ponies competing or using the Centre must be fully vaccinated against equine flu, and must not have had any vaccination in the 6 days prior to attending.

13. Vaccination requirements for stabling may vary from time to time, as dictated by the British Equestrian. Please see individual event page for details. Important updates will be published on our website and on our social media pages.

14. Horses and/or ponies must not be left unattended at any time when tied outside Horseboxes or trailers.

15. No horse and/or pony may be lunged in any area of the Centre. Strictly no lunging in the arena or collecting ring.

16. Competitors are requested, prior to leaving, to clean up any droppings, hay, straw or shavings from around their horsebox/trailer and to dispose of these at home.

17. Dogs must be kept on leads AT ALL TIMES and must be cleaned up after. Failure to do this will result in you being asked to leave the Centre No dogs are allowed in any of the arenas or the stable yard AT ANY TIME.

18. It is recommended that all Horseboxes are fitted with a fire extinguisher.

19. Golden Valley Equestrian Centre reserves the right to alter any schedule at any time without prior notice. Closing dates for all shows may be altered if the classes are full.

20. All entry and hire fees include VAT@20%. All entries and hire fees must be paid for in full prior to leaving the Centre. A £20 administration fee will be payable on any outstanding accounts, plus interest.

21. No entry or stable fees will be refunded if less than 24hrs notice, a £5 admin charge will be deducted if cancelled after 24hrs or entries can be transferred to another show or taken off arena hire.

22. Prize money not collected on the day will be forfeited.

23. A £30 cash deposit must be paid to the Stable Manager on arrival and will be returned once the stable has been inspected and has been fully emptied of bedding and hay.

24. Smoking is strictly forbidden in the stable area and in all the arenas. Cigarette butts must be disposed of safely and in the bins provided and not thrown in the woodland or ground.

25. All vehicles should be parked sensibly and enough room must be left for emergency access.

26. Any competitor who is considered by the organisers, stewards, judges to have received outside assistance without prior permission, will be eliminated from their Class.

27. It is the owners/riders responsibility to ensure that horses/ponies are the correct height for their Class, the judges discretion is final.

28. The decision of the Judge on the day in all classes will be final.

29. Photographs will be taken at Golden Valley Equestrian Centre events by a professional, licenced photographer who has been approved. Golden Valley reserve the right to use these photographs for advertising purposes to promote future events. No other photographers are permitted to photograph the event. If you do not wish your photographs to be used in such a way then please speak to the photographer to have your photos removed.

30. Golden Valley Equestrian Centre uses Horse Monkey as their chosen event administration system. Entry form details will be added to this system to inform competitors that their entries have been received. If competitors do not wish for this information to be shared with our chosen entry system, then we will not be able to process and accept your entry.

31.Before attending any of the Centres shows it is important that you familiarise yourself with the COVID-19 protocols that have been put in place to assist and ensure you and others stay safe and minimise the spread of infection.
Please stay alert and safe at least 2m apart from anyone outside of your household, hand wash is available in the toilets and hand sanitises are provided around the centre, please use regularly.
All lorries will be parked leaving 5m between each one so please respect each other and stay within your bay.
If you are found breaking any of the terms and conditions relating to social distancing you will be asked to leave the centre without a refund.
Once you have finished your class you must return your horse to the lorry/trailer, if you cannot leave your horse on the lorry/trailer for any reason you must stay with them.
You will not be allowed to walk freely around the carpark.
