ALL ENTRIES VIA HORSE MONKEY TO AVOID PAPER OR CASH HANDLING No entries on the day. All competitors will be issued with times before the day. Formal show attire is mandatory – no yard boots, dark breeches or outside coats. Results for all classes will be split into juniors and seniors if sufficient entries. Juniors – not to have attained their 18th birthday by 01.01.20 Combinations may only enter concurrent classes and horses may only be entered in a maximum of 3 classes regardless of rider. SHOW DAY COVID-19 RULES MACCLESFIELD & DISTRICT RIDING CLUB Guidelines and your entry number that will arrive in the post Don’t forget your horse’s passport on the day If you are displaying ANY symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in contact with someone who is displaying symptoms, please let us know by phone or email and DO NOT ATTEND. 1. On arrival, wait for the steward to show you where to park and to check you and your helper/groom off the competitors list. 2. The rider may bring one helper only. Riders under 15 or who are disabled will be allowed one extra helper. All helpers must be named on entry form for track & trace purposes. Helpers MUST be over the age of 18. 3. Lorry / trailer will be parked a minimum of 3m apart and horses must NOT be tied up outside. 4. Please stay with your trailer/lorry when not competing. Horses must not be left unattended at any time. 5. Do not congregate in groups. 6. Please remember social distancing at all times, whether mounted or on foot. 7. Where there are one-way systems in place for horses and pedestrians you must use them. 8. Sanitiser will be available at ring entrances for your use. 9. A secretary gazebo will be provided for general enquiries and unmounted rosette collection 15 minutes after completion of class. Social distancing must be adhered to. There will not be a formal presentation, results will be announced over the PA system at the completion of the class and posted on the MDRC Website. 10. You are permitted to wear a soft face mask while competing but not a face covering. No visors are permitted, or anything attached to your riding hat. 11. Toilet facilities are available at the centre however due to difficulty in implementing a social distancing or one-way system we ask that you avoid using them or use your own facilities wherever possible. However, if you must use the centre facilities a face mask or covering must be worn without exception. 12. Spectators are not permitted therefore we ask that all grooms/helpers stay at the lorry or trailer wherever possible. A single helper will be permitted to watch their competitor in the ring. Access to the arena for grooms/helpers is through the arena exit not through the warmup arena. Only named helpers/grooms will be permitted to enter. This will be closely monitored by a committee member on a one in/one out basis. 13. No more than 5 horses will be permitted in the warmup area at any time and no helpers/grooms allowed. Parents of young competitors (under 12) will be permitted to stand at the entrance of the warmup if required but not enter unless permitted by the collecting ring steward in exceptional circumstances. An MDRC committee member will be manning the practice fence in the warm-up. 14. There will be no entries taken or alterations made on the day. Any information that you need will be sent to you beforehand together with your number. 15. Times will be issued and must be adhered to for all competitors including arrival, course walk, warm up and competition to assist with keeping to government guidelines. If you miss your time it may not be possible to slot you in so please keep to given times. 16. All classes will be run in a single-phase format 17. Once you have completed your classes please leave as promptly as possible to assist us in keeping the numbers on the show ground to a minimum. If you have any problems on the day you can contact us on 07712449198. ALL THESE CONDITIONS MUST BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO FOR THIS SHOW TO TAKE PLACE AND BE COVID-19 COMPLIANT. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN ELIMINATION AND YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE SHOW GROUND. We hope you have a safe and successful day!
