Leyland Court COVID-19 Rules

In order to open our facilities to the public there are certain rules that we must enforce in order
to ensure the safety of our family, liveries and clients. These rules MUST be abided by and
anyone disregarding these rules on site will be asked to leave and forfeit their entry to the
event.

In order to open our facilities to the public there are certain rules that we must enforce in order
to ensure the safety of our family, liveries and clients. These rules MUST be abided by and
anyone disregarding these rules on site will be asked to leave and forfeit their entry to the
event.
a. USE THE STERILISATION POINTS PROVIDED Before entering the arenas, using a poop
scoop, etc. please ensure you wash your hands with the sterilisation equipment
provided, and wipe down any surfaces, available for the next person to use.
b. SOCIAL DISTANCING You are only allowed to travel to the event with your family
members (those inside your bubble) and you are only allowed to meet with ONE extra
person at the event from outside your group. You must stay 2 metres apart from other
“bubbles” at all times and not share any equipment. One person per horse in addition
to the rider is permitted on site.
c. PARK 5M APART Leave plenty of space between yourself and the next vehicle.
d. BRING YOUR OWN WATER Whilst most of you do this anyway, please note that the
normal wash off areas/water facilities at Leyland Court are not available to people
hiring the facilities or attending an event.
e. TOILETS The toilets are available for emergency use only. Please follow the rules of use
located within the toilet. Wipe down all appropriate surfaces and wash your hands
BEFORE and AFTER use.

Equi-Events Additional Rules

1. All competitors take part at their own risk and are expected to exercise due care at all
times and obey all notices displayed by the event organisers and by the venue. The
event organisers and the venue accept no responsibility for any accidents, loss or
damage to any competitors, spectators, animals or property. It is a condition of entry
that competitors will hold the organisers blameless and indemnify them against any
damage or legal proceedings.
2. EQUI-EVENTS EXPECT EACH EXHIBITOR TO TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR NOT
SPREADING COVID-19 VIRUS AND OBEYING ALL RULES REGARDING SOCIAL
DISTANCING. Failure to do so will result in removal of you and your entire party from
the showground.
A. DO NOT ATTEND THE SHOW IF YOU ARE SHOWING SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19.
B. SOCIAL DISTANCE TO 2 METRES APART FROM THOSE WHO ARE NOT FAMILY
MEMBERS.
C. WASH HANDS / SANITISE UPON ARRIVAL AND AFTER TOUCHING ANY FACILITY
DURING THE DAY.
D. USE YOUR OWN LORRY TOILET WHEREVER POSSIBLE.
E. Wear face masks where appropriate, you do not have to compete in a face mask.
F. Track and Trace MUST be given on Entry Forms and Vehicle registration number.
G. Show officials have made every effort to safeguard everyone attending but
attendance at this show is at your own risk.
3. ABSOLUTELY NO ADDITIONAL ENTRIES OR AMENDMENTS OF ENTRIES AT THE SHOW.
ONLY ANIMALS COMPETING SHOULD BE ON THE SHOWGROUND.
4. Equi-Events recommends that all exhibitors should have adequate personal sports
insurance. All accidents, injuries or falls should be reported to the secretary.
5. Correct secured Skull caps/riding hats conforming to PAS015 or EN1384 or ASTMF1163
04a onwards SNELL E2001, SNELL E2016 AS/NZS 3838 2003 onwards must be worn at
all times when mounted, with chinstraps from 3 points on the hat fastened. A rider
whose hat comes off will be eliminated, a rider whose hat comes undone must stop
immediately to fasten the strap, without penalty.
6. Mares with a foal at foot must be at least be 4 years old. No foal should be shown until
it is at least 3 weeks old.
7. Stallions and Colts must be handled by a person over the age of 14. The stallion or colt
must also be displaying a Stallion badge attached to his bridle. Exhibitors must not kneel
and remain standing during the entire class.
8. If you fall from a horse or dismount during the class you must immediately leave the
ring.
9. Equi-Events reserves the right to alter the times of classes or the Judge if necessary
without prior notice. Equi-Events reserve the right to refuse entry of persons or animals
at their discretion without assigning a reason.
10. Any objections must be made in writing and must be handed to the secretary within 30
minutes of the completion of the relevant class, and accompanied by a £20 fee which
will be refunded should the objection be upheld.
11. Unmannerly behaviour towards officials will not be tolerated and may lead to
immediate disqualification.
12. No exercising in the rings will be permitted, doing so will result in disqualification,
unless permission has been given by an official.
13. NO ENTRY FEE WILL BE REFUNDED
14. Showing canes must not exceed 30” in length unless deemed to be “dress code” for
the appropriate class.
15. THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL
16. No dogs are allowed.
17. Animals must not be left tied, unattended to a trailer or horsebox at any time. Show less
