Wilmslow Riding Club – Conditions for Show Day August 2020
Important - Do not enter the show ground if you or anyone you have been in contact with is showing signs of Covid-19
1. Remember to bring your number – we cannot provide one on the day if you forget.
2. On arrival the gate steward will check the rider on the list of competitors. If there are helper(s) not travelling with the rider please give their car registration to the steward.
3. Only one helper per horse, in addition to the rider. If the rider is under 12, or disabled, one extra helper is allowed. No one else may enter the show ground. No Spectators.
4. You will be told where to park, 5 metres apart, tying up on the left side. Cars (not towing) will be parked by the pavilion, not with the wagons/trailers.
5. Please stay with your wagon / trailer when not competing or using the facilities. No congregating anywhere on the show ground.
6. There is a one way system in place for horses and pedestrians. You must use it.
7. Remember social distancing at all times, mounted or on foot. Sanitisers will be at the ring entrances, by the toilets and by the pavilion. Hand washing facilities will be by the tap (near the toilets). Please use these regularly.
8. Showing Ring 4 will start at 9.00am. Rings 2 and 3 will start at 9.30am. Classes may be split if numbers dictate this. Rosettes will be given by the steward at the exit when the results have been announced.
9. Show Jumping & Working Hunter (Rings 1 and 5) will start at 10am. NO CLEAR ROUNDS. The rings will have In and Out gates. The In gate will be in the collecting ring.
10. You may not have your helper in the collecting ring, only five riders at a time. The steward in this ring will adjust the fences for you. Because of the limit on numbers, please do not enter the collecting ring until it is your turn.
11. See the schedule for the method of judging the Show Jumping. Rosettes in the show jumping will be collected from the judge after the results are announced. Please do not approach the judge.
12. The same rules apply for the Working Hunter jumping collecting ring, but there will also be an area where you may wait to be called back to complete your show – helpers may assist the rider here. Only clear rounds will be called back, in groups of five. The top five will collect their rosettes from the exit steward on leaving the arena. Sixth place will not be in the arena but can collect their rosette from the exit steward.
13. Lead Rein Working Hunter will be asked to perform their show immediately after jumping. This system may apply to all Working Hunter classes at the judge's discretion.
14. The secretary, Kelly, may be contacted by text or phone on 07834 407782. She cannot make any alterations or take entries on the day. Please contact her if you have a problem. You will be texted any information you may need. (class start times, judges breaks etc.). Try not to miss your class, Kelly cannot rectify this on the day.
15. Please note there will be no championships or prize money at this show. When you have finished all your classes please leave the show ground promptly. Show less
