Notes

To ensure everyone's safety, we have introduced a complete overhaul of the manner in which our shows will be run. These are a few of the new measures that will be in place. No one will be allowed onto the showground until they have been screened. The best opportunity to do this is on Friday 17th July, where a full screening system will be in place. There will, of course, be measures in place for those travelling on the day, but please allow additional time for this so that you do not miss your class. Enhanced Sanitation of all Toilets. We fully encourage people to use their own facilities where possible to reduce queues and increase safety for everyone. Due to Government restrictions, showers will remained closed for the duration of the show. Social Distancing will maintained throughout showground. If you hear a whistle, please check that you have not broken social distancing rules. Warm Up Arenas will be marshalled to ensure Social Distancing. Catering will be open, but will be operated in line with the current restrictions. At present, this means takeaway food only. Food ordered from the pavilion can be collected or delivered to the lorry park gates. As the guidance is constantly changing, we may have to introduce more stringent measures as we get nearer the show. It may also be worth noting that the running of this show is based on expected announcements to ease the current restrictions. If these restrictions are not lifted, the show may still not be able to run.

Covid-19 Special Measures on the Showground
We are all in this together. To keep the shows running, we must cooperate to ensure that the rules are maintained. We thank you in advance for you help.
Before Travelling
If you, or any of your party are feeling ill, DO NOT TRAVEL.

Your temperature will be checked on arrival to allow access to the showground. Please check your own temperature before departing to avoid making a pointless journey. If your temperature is over 37.8c DO NOT TRAVEL.

If you answer yes to any of the following questions, do not travel to the showground.

Do you have a new continuous cough?

Have you experienced a loss of, or change in sense of smell or taste (anosmia).

Are you in the High risk, clinically extremely vulnerable category?

Are you are self isolating, due to contact with someone with symptoms, someone with confirmed covid 19, or returning from a country known to have the virus?

Only travel to the showground if you are able to return home at any time during the show due to the onset of symptoms.

Do not travel with anyone outside your household unless you can maintain safe social distancing (2 meters).

Limit the number of people attending the show with you. Explain social distancing to anyone in your support group and limit access to stables and arenas to essential personnel only. For all Wales & West and Cricklands shows, the prevailing BS rules will be enforced, namely:

Athletes may be accompanied by one other person and one additional person for every additional horse entered.

At pony shows people in attendance are limited to one adult per child, and one additional person allowed for any additional ponies entered (as per horse shows).

Entry onto the Showground
Everyone that visits the Showground will be screened by our medical team. Once this has been performed, we will take your name, contact details and ask you to list those in your household that you are sharing accommodation with before issuing you with a numbered wristband.

We encourage everyone to arrive on site the day prior to the show as our full team will be in place and the screening process will happen considerably quicker than if you arrive during the show days. The latest arrivals on the screening/arrival day is 19:30.

The Lorry Park
Everyone will be parked by an attendant. Failure to comply with this rule will be taken very seriously.

Toilets on the Showground may be open, but those in the lorry / caravan park will be closed. Please ensure that you are prepared for this and have suitable facilities on your vehicle.

Showers will be closed for the duration of the show.

We recommend using closed bins for waste disposal in your lorries and caravans

Around the Showground
If you or any of your party develop symptoms whilst on site:

Return home as soon as it is safe to do so.

When fetching your horses from the stables to be loaded, facemasks should be warn and social distancing must be maintained at all times.

Once you have left, the Show Office must be informed so that necessary enhanced sanitising of your stabling can be carried out.

Contact the NHS directly, either on NHS.UK/CORONAVIRUS or call them on 119.

When outside of your “camp”, groups may not be larger than 4 people, and within this group, the members should be from no more than two households. The limit of 4 people is to make policing social distancing possible. If you feel that you have a suitable reason that your group size needs to be made up of more than 4 people, please contact the Show Office by telephone and arrangements can be made to facilitate this.

Our food outlets will be open and will be operated in line with the prevailing government restrictions. More detailed information about this will be available nearer the date of each show.

Please bring a supply of facemasks for all members of all your party in case you start to feel unwell after you have arrived.

Where toilets are available, please ensure that you sanitise your hands before and after using them.

Avoid shaking hands and hugging at all times outside of your lorry / caravan

Sinks for hand washing can be found by the Show Office and near the new additional Medical Centre, situated underneath the Magic 2 Judges Box.

Please avoid crowding at all times. We have put measures in place to prevent this, but please remain vigilant to avoid joining groups of people.

Avoid coming to the Show Office. If you have any queries, please call or email the office.

Wash hands before coming into ANY of our staffed buildings. This is done to protect our staff and other customers.

To reduce people around show office, prizemoney will be sent out in the post the day following the show. Separate staff have been employed to carry out this task to ensure that it is done promptly.

Where possible, please reduce contact with our staff. This includes not only the show office team, but also collecting ring stewards, and catering staff. To protect our staff, please maintain social distancing at all times.

Our medical team will operate in a different manner to usual. They will not be treating conditions other than those that have occurred whilst competing at the showground. If you have a medical condition that requires treatment before you leave home, please visit your local GP. This measure is to reduce the number of people that our team make contact with, which will make everyone safer.

If you wish to “warm down” your horse after competing, you may not use the warm up arena. Please use the fields on the other side of the railway line.

If you notice something Covid-19 related that you are not happy with, please report it to a member of our staff.

Stables
Stables will be sprayed and cleaned before you arrive. However, we recommend bringing your own disinfectant spray to keep stable doors clean and safe throughout shows.

Regularly sanitise car and truck handles, stable doors, bucket handles, light switches etc, and equipment including tack, grooming, feeding, stable cleaning materials etc.

Avoid sharing materials, but if you have to, sanitise before use by other people.

Keep the number of people in the stables to a minimum, without compromising horse welfare.

All safety warnings are in English. If anyone requires information in Welsh, please contact our office. Show less
