Take advantage of Early Bird Discount - enter by 12 noon Monday 9th and save £2. How Arena Eventing Works …Competitors will compete in a dressage and jumping phase. Scores from the dressage will be converted into penalties, which will be carried forward to the SJ and XC phase. Competitors will compete a SJ course with penalties being added for knock-downs and refusals in the normal way. After the competitor has finished the SJ they will proceed straight onto the XC. There will be penalties on the XC for going too slow, and refusals and knock downs Knock down = 4 faults 1st refusal = 4 faults 2nd refusal = 8 fault 3rd refusal = Elimination Rider fall = Elimination 1 time faults for every second over the optimum time based at a speed that will be published at the competition. BODY PROTECTORS MUST BE WORN FOR THE JUMPING PHASE! There will be Rugs awarded to the Horse and Rider combination with the most points throughout the series. There will also be an award for the PONY , 4/5yo Horse and RoR with the most points throughout the series. Points will be awarded as follows (DOUBLE POINTS at the FINAL); 1st – 6 points 2nd – 5 pts 3rd – 4 pts 4th – 3 pts 5th – 2 pts 6th – 1 pt At each event rosettes will be awarded to 1-6th  in all classes and prizes in kind to 3rd, providing there are more than 10 entries, otherwise prize to the winner only.) ISEC Rules • A horse/pony may not be shared in any 1 class • Rosettes will be awarded 1st to 6th in every class • An Up to date riding hat must be worn at all times when mounted. • Dogs must be kept in vehicles at all times NO DOGS ALLOWED IN CENTRE BUIDINGS • Horses must not be left tied to trailers / Lorries unattended at ANYTIME. • Competitors must park as instructed. • All Ridden ponies and horses must be 4 years or over • Objections must be lodged in writing with the secretary, accompanied by a deposit of £5. • By entering a class at this show you agreeing to abide by the rules. • The horse/pony must have received two injections for primary vaccination against equine influenza given no less than 21 days and no more than 92 days apart. Only these two injections need to have been given before a horse/pony can compete in competitions. In addition, a first booster injection must be given no less than 150 days and no more than 215 days after the second injection of the primary vaccination. Subsequently, booster injections must be given at intervals of not more than one year apart.
