Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories,or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence,breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. Area 18 of the The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their insurance will not cover you.
It is recommended that all horses/ponies are vaccinated against Equine Influenza As per BEF regulations, however there will be no checks on the day and competitors must enter at their own risk
There is a new payment system for all vehicles at Pembrey Country Park, at the EXIT payment of £5 is required. There will no Horse Box Passes this year.


Rules - General
• Competition will be run under Pony Club rules.
• All horses /ponies must be aged 4yrs or older to compete and may not compete more than twice during the day. Riders must not compete on more than two horses/ponies in any1 class.
• Children and dogs on leads to be supervised at all times.
• Please do not leave any litter, horse droppings or hay in the lorry park
• If entries for the Hunter trial exceed 140 then riders riding the same course more than once will be balloted out first.
• Anyone missing their class will not be entitled to a refund and the organisers reserve the right to alter or cancel any of the classes. If a class is split into sections, competitors must ride in their section. Times are given as a guideline only
• Outside assistance will result in elimination except for Class 1a where ponies can be led and children encouraged
• The Judge’s decision is final. Any objections should be handed to the secretary within 15 minutes of the incident in writing, together with a deposit of £10 which may be retained if the objection is not upheld.
• The Judge may disqualify a competitor/s for
• Dangerous riding
• Unsporting behaviour
• Continuing to ride a horse that is lame, sick or exhausted
• Misusing a whip, spurs or any other item of tack or equipment
• Causing or permitting ill treatment to a pony or horse
• Arguing with Judges, Course Builders or other Officials
• Failing to comply with the BEF Equine Influenza recommendations
Rules – Dress
• Skull Cap and Body Protectors are compulsory . Skull Cap to comply with Pony Club standards (see below) must be worn when mounted. No Fixed Peaks are permitted.. .
Body protectors must be 2009 Level 3 . There is also a new 2018 Level 3 (blue and black label) that is new in the rules
• Earrings, studs, other body jewellery and nail varnish must not be worn. Show less
