1) Advance bookings are classed as those made or received before 12 May 2018

2) Strictly no refunds, except if the event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

3) Entries on the day are by cash only.

5) Registration opens at 09.30 and last registration is at 13.30.

6) Fluorescent tabards will be provided and must be worn.

7) Horses may start at any time between 10.00 and 14.00 – please indicate which
half hour slot you wish to depart, in order that we can stagger horses at the event.

8) It is advised that riders take a mobile phone. A contact number will be displayed in the Secretary’s tent.

9) All riders must report their return to the Secretary’s tent.

10) All horses and ponies must be no younger than 4 years of age.

11) Riders are expected to hold a minimum of Third Party Public Liability Insurance. (BHS Gold members have this as part of their membership benefits. More information about joining the BHS can be found at www.bhs.org.uk).

12) The ride mostly takes place on private land. Riders are requested to respect the generosity of Mrs Vestey, Captain Kennedy and Lord and Lady Elwes, and must follow all direction signs and markers.

13) Good riding manners are requested. Please note anyone causing difficulty to others and inform the stewards on the route or at the Secretary’s tent.

14) Horses should not be left unattended in the parking area or on the ride.

15) Hard hats with chinstraps must be worn.

16) Tack must be suitable and in good condition.

17) If anyone is riding a stallion they must inform the organisers at the time of booking. No person may bring a stallion on the pleasure ride without ensuring, at all times, that other riders, ponies/horses and members of the public are not put at risk. The stallion should be easily identifiable to others by a bridle tag and/or yellow ribbon in the tail. The organisers may, if they consider that the stallion may cause an accident or injure another person or horse/pony attending the pleasure ride, direct said horse be returned to their horsebox and be removed from site.

18) The organisers accept no responsibility for damage to any rider, persons, horses, vehicles or property whatsoever the cause.
