Notes

Join Northern Dressage Group at Aintree International Equestrian Centre, on the 20th August 2016, for an opportunity to watch this internationally respected dressage dynasty, showcase the training methods they use to successfully produce youngsters from grassroots, up to the top levels of competition.
A distinguished rider in his own right and internationally respected trainer, Ferdi’s career began under the expert guidance of Dr Reiner Klimke and Johann Hinneman. After moving to the UK in 1980, Ferdi rode for Great Britain twice, both at the European Championships and the World Equestrian Games. He was also dressage trainer to the British Eventing Team from 1981 to 1992 and accompanied them to three Olympic Games. In 2002, the British Equestrian Federation named Ferdi as British Dressage’s new World Class Director of Coaching, where he was responsible for overseeing the training schedules of Britain’s top dressage riders, as they prepared for major championships. Ferdi has also been awarded honorary fellowship from the British Horse Society for his services to equestrianism. Maria, has enjoyed international success from a young age. Winning two pony European silver team medals, two young rider European bronze team medals and she was British under 21 champion in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003. Maria’s achievements have been plentiful over the years and in 2010, she took place in her first World Equestrian Games, where she helped her team become silver medalists. Michael, was one of only two riders to ever be on the British Equestrian Federation funding programmes for two different disciplines. A talented showjumper, Michael started as a working pupil for Tim Stockdale, before turning his attention to dressage. Part of the bronze medal winning team at the 2013 European Dresssage Championships, Michael went on to help Great Britain secure team silver medals in 2014 and 2015 in both the European Championships and the World Equestrian Games.
