ABOUT EMMA Top dressage rider and European Championship team bronze medallist Emma Hindle was born in Preston on May 19, 1975. After riding a donkey on the beach at Blackpool aged 4, she began taking regular riding lessons at her aunts stables. She began competitive showing in Working hunter classes, followed by eventing. Aged 12, Emma was under instruction from international dressage judge Stephen Clarke and at 18 she moved to Sweden to train with Kyra Kyrklund at the Flyinge Stud. When Kyrklund moved to the UK in 1993, Hindle moved to the base of Netherlands Olympic dressage medallist Ellen Bontje in Frankfurt, Germany. It was from this base that she competed in the Beijing Olympics. Not only has Emma represented Britain in the junior European Championships in 1989 and 1990, as well as the young riders European Championships in 1992, 1993 and 1996, but she has been a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2003 European Championships at Hickstead with Wie Weltmeyer and represented Britain at the World Equestrian Games, Athens Olympic Games and Beijing Olympic Games where she finished 7th individually with Lancet. Having been based at her own Brookhouse Stud in Germany for a number of years, Emma returned to Britain in 2010 and now divides her time between looking after her son Luke, competing her international horses and managing her father’s property business. ABOUT ASTRID Astrid’s experience is vast, ranging from auction purchases to producing her own sports horses for HOYS and the Royal International. With over 35 year’s experience in equestrianism, Astrid’s has been exceptionally determined at turning her childhood passion into her livelihood. Recognised by her peers for her amazing ability to spot athletic potential and quality of movement in very young horses, she has become one of the main producers of Warmblood sports horses in the UK in the last 15 years. Horses sourced and produced by Astrid have fulfilled their athletic potential under the guidance of the Whittaker family in Showjumping, Ollie Towsend in Eventing, Danielle Heath and Katy Jerram in Showing. Her eye for exceptional movement for Dressage has taken some of her young finds to succeed at international level with acclaimed riders like Peter Storr, Amy Stovold and Jane Green. ABOUT HAYLEY Winning 5 National Championships riding two different horses have made Hayley an easily recognised figure in the Dressage filed, however, Hayley’s competition career started at a very young age, serving as her own mothers jockey to break, produce and show youngsters for sale. Naturally progressing from showing and working hunter ponies into Showjumping, her teens saw her traveling all over the country to include participating at Hickstead and selling her mounts to the Whittakers.
