Workshop overview
A practical, coach-focused workshop exploring how a mechanical horse can enhance dressage coaching, support rider development and provide a valuable alternative or complement to conventional ridden lessons. Through live demonstrations, hands-on activities and shared reflection, coaches will explore how to observe rider movement, select appropriate interventions and communicate the benefits of simulator sessions to clients.
Learning outcomes
• Understand the simulator's operation, safety considerations, capabilities and limitations.
• Identify coaching opportunities for rider alignment, balance, coordination, seat and movement awareness.
• Experience observation, questioning, feedback and guided discovery in simulator-based coaching.
• Consider applications for returning riders following injury or treatment, confidence development, youth riders and para riders.
• Explain the value of simulator sessions and how learning can be carried into ridden work
