Sarah Huntridge – BHS Stage 5 Performance Coach
Professional Flatwork & Dressage Coach
As a BHS Stage 5 Performance Coach based at Yorkshire Riding Centrefor over 25 years, I provide professional flatwork and dressage coaching for riders of all ages and abilities. Whether your goal is to improve your horse's way of going, build confidence, prepare for competition or simply enjoy your training, every lesson is tailored to the individual needs of both horse and rider.
I have successfully coached riders to British Dressage Regional Championships, Area Festivals and Quest competitions, as well as supporting British Eventing combinations to develop stronger, more effective flatwork to enhance their performance across all phases. I also enjoy supporting riders who are aiming for British Horse Society (BHS) and Pony Club assessments, ensuring they develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to achieve their goals.
My coaching philosophy centres on correct, sympathetic training that develops a willing, confident horse and an effective, balanced rider. I believe lessons should be enjoyable, supportive and progressive, with clear, practical exercises that encourage lasting improvement. Whether you're introducing a young horse to flatwork, refining competition performance or returning to riding after a break, I will create a programme that works for you.
