Fun farm ride around the tracks and stubble fields of Logie Newton Farm!
On the day, you can choose between two ride routes:
Short ride: A circular route of 3.4 km around three fields. You can complete as many laps of this route as you wish.
Long ride: A 6.5 km route that takes you through the forestry and into the final fields. Once there, you can do as many laps of the fields as you like, depending on the fitness of your horse. This route finishes with around 200 acres of stubble fields and includes various hills.
There are 20-minute time slots available for you to choose from. This is the time you will leave the parking area and set off on your ride. All riders must be off the farm by 6 p.m.
On arrival, please report to the registration desk, where you must sign a declaration form and leave emergency contact details. Please check in at the registration desk again when you return.
After registering, Louise will set you off from the parking area within your 20-minute time slot. If there is more than one group in this window, we will leav

After registering, Louise will set you off from the parking area within your 20-minute time slot. If there is more than one group in this window, we will leave a gap between groups for safety. Please, if possible, do not wait until the end of your timeslot to leave.
We suggest riding in groups no larger than 5 or 6, and it is up to you to organise who you wish to ride with. We will allow a gap between groups of riders.
The route will be signposted, and riders are requested not to deviate from it. Once you come out of the trees at the top of the hill, there are around 200 acres of stubble fields (with grass margins), and you can pick your own route back to the parking field. In these stubble fields, please take extra care around other riders, avoid any actions that may upset another horse, and ensure you pass wide and slow.
There is a small amount of roadwork on single-track country roads. The majority of the ride is on grass tracks and stubble fields.
High-visibility clothing is mandatory for all riders.
Please be courteous to other riders – pass wide and slow, or pull over and stop if necessary.
Riders must have their own third-party insurance for their horses.
Please ensure the parking area is kept tidy and that all horse droppings and litter are taken home with you.
Riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
It is the owner’s/rider’s responsibility to ensure the horse/pony is wearing appropriate, well-fitting tack.
It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they are wearing appropriate safety attire at all times while riding.
