Notes

Kindly supported by Agria, the UK's only lifetime equine insurance provider, join us for an inspiring evening with Veterinary Physiotherapist Gemma Howell and Louise Robson to gain a greater understanding of "Rebalancing the Athlete: A Muscular Journey Beyond the Track".

Gemma's Bio,

Gemma is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Veterinary Physiotherapist (ACPAT & RAMP registered) with a specialist interest in the rehabilitation and retraining of former racehorses. With a strong background in both human and equine sports physiotherapy, she brings a wealth of knowledge from elite-level sport to the stable yard, working collaboratively with veterinary and performance teams to support optimal outcomes for both horse and rider.

Committed to supporting former racehorses in their transition beyond the track, Gemma is passionate about education, sharing knowledge, and raising standards of care. Her mission is to help each horse thrive in its second career through a thoughtful, scientific, and compassionate physiotherapy-led approach.

Louise's Bio

Louise Robson is a dressage rider, who specialises in retraining of racehorses. She competes at ALL levels abroad her ex racehorses and warmbloods. Louise has won both Regional and National titles and her top OTTB, Quadrille (bred and formerly owned by HM The Queen now HM The King) is currently competing at Inter II level, with Grand Prix on the horizon. Quadrille was crowned RoR Elite Dressage horse and then RoR Horse of the Year in 2019.

Louise and has three of HM’s ex racehorses in her stable; Quadrille, Princes Trust and Forthbridge. Louise trains all levels of rider and horses and helps them work towards their goals feeling safe and confident, whilst being able to understand their horse and how to best develop them according to their; personality, history and training habits.

This is a great opportunity to meet fellow RoR members and be part of our supportive community, regardless of where you are in your journey with your former racehorse.

Refreshments provided, as well as the opportunity to WIN £50 of RoR gift vouchers in our raffle.

While people sometimes worry about the potential for increased health problems in a former racehorse, Agria’s lifetime equine policy —the only UK horse insurance which does not add new exclusions to your vet fee cover once you make a claim — will protect your partnership. Nor does the level of veterinary cover diminish as your horse grows old.

Any Agria insurance policy purchased through RoR’s affiliate links will result in a small percentage being received by RoR. This applies to insurance policy purchased including horse, dog, cat and rabbit.
