GENERAL SHOW REGULATIONS .
1. Exhibitors should not enter an animal in any show when that animal will be judged by a person who has, or who has had an interest in that particular exhibit. (The exhibitor being the owner. Lessee or producing and / or showing the animal).
2. A judge may not adjudicate a class in which to the judge’s knowledge, a pony
GENERAL SHOW REGULATIONS .
1. Exhibitors should not enter an animal in any show when that animal will be judged by a person who has, or who has had an interest in that particular exhibit. (The exhibitor being the owner. Lessee or producing and / or showing the animal).
2. A judge may not adjudicate a class in which to the judge’s knowledge, a pony / cob bred, sold, leased or produced by the judge or his immediate family or employer is exhibited. If a judge has reasonable grounds for belief that this is the case, they must ask the exhibitor to leave the ring and the exhibitor must withdraw.
3. An exhibitor may not compete in a class judged by a person for whom he/she has ridden in a competition or produced in-hand for the show ring in the same year.
4. Colts of three years and over must hold a stallion licence.
5. Riders and handlers of stallions in all classes must wear a red armband. Handlers of stallions must be 14 years and over.
6. Hard hats conforming to current British standard must be worn at all times while mounted on show ground.
7. All whips and canes must not exceed 30” or 75cm in length.
8. All horses and ponies being ridden, must be four years and over. Age calculated from 1st January in year of birth.
9. Leading rein ponies should be shown in snaffle bridle with the lead rein attached to noseband.
10. Riders competing on a leading rein cannot compete un-led in any other ridden class.
11. Any class with insufficient entries may be cancelled or amalgamated, with a class of similar type. Classes may be divided where appropriate.
12. In mountain & moorland ridden and working hunter pony under saddle classes, spurs are NOT allowed.
13. Objections must be made in writing, with the objectors name and address, within half an hour of the incident, together with the sum of £20.00 to show secretary. This sum shall be returned only if objection is sustained. The official decision is final.
14. The show committee reserve the right to refuse entries without giving a reason.
15. The show committee reserve the right to ask anyone causing a nuisance or disturbance to leave the showground.
16. The fall off of a horse or pony in any class will constitute immediate disqualification. The competitor must leave the ring dismounted and put details in club accident book. Its is strongly advised that medical advice be sought before entering in any other class. The class is deemed to be over when the judge has dismissed the competitors. The only exception is rule 17.
17. The judge’s decision is final.
18. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that the show committee how organiser, the land owner or their agent or helpers shall NOT be held responsible for any loss, injury and damage to competitors, animals spectators or property, however caused whilst on show ground. All horses or ponies competing should have adequate third party insurance.
19. Children on the show ground are the responsibility of the adults they accompany on the day and must be supervised.
20. Anyone being abusive to either a human or an animal in any manner will not be tolerated and will be asked to leave the show venue.
THE OWNERS OF THE SHOW VENUE HAVE ASKED US TO LEAVE THE VENUE IN A CLEAN AND TIDY CONDITION FOR ANOTHER HIRER THE NEXT DAY. THEREFORE WE ASK THAT ALL COMPETITORS NOT ONLY CLEAR UP AFTER THEMSELVES, BUT THEIR HORSES AND PONIES AS WELL.
