Competition Format:
The first qualifying pony competition was held on February 16th 2025, all double clears are guaranteed a space at the Final.
There will be two further Academy qualifying competitions in 2025. The first, as in previous years consists of the final day of Camp on Thursday 17th April and the second show on Saturday 28th June at Morris EC. This is to allow Academy members, rider/pony/horse combinations, a chance to qualify if: they did not succeed the first time, if the pony/horse has changed since the first show or if unable to attend the first show.
No pony/horse substitutions for the final unless a current pony/horse/rider record can be supplied at the relevant height.
Please note for final: Riders can only compete once in a team, but may compete a different pony/horse in another team at the same height. Ponies/horses may only compete once in any (Team/Individual) competition.
Both days will consist of warm-up classes followed by the qualifying competitions for the final at Stoneleigh. The result of the team(s) to represent Scotland at the final will be decided on the results after both competitions.
The Team members will be selected as follows: each Team will be made up of three riders from the Pony Academy Camp attendees and the fourth place to either a Camp attendee or an external Pony Academy competitor who has taken part only in the last day’s competition depending on the results.
Riders will be required to participate in all camp activities in order to be classed as a full attending camp rider.
Riders conduct at camp will also be taken into consideration.
Please note: Teams will not be announced on the show days.
