These Terms and Conditions apply to all competitors and spectators and must be adhered to at all times. Entry into any competition, including the hire of the Centre, shall be deemed an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

All persons entering the Racecourse or Equestrian Centre, by virtue of admission, agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the General Rules of the Competition.
Aintree International Equestrian Centre and Aintree Racecourse reserve the right to refuse entry/hire without stating a reason and to cancel competitions and all rights of admission.
Any person causing damage, disruption, or unwanted behaviour will be asked to leave the premises and will not be permitted to participate further in the event.
Aintree International Equestrian Centre and Aintree Racecourse do not accept responsibility or liability for any injury, accident, damage, or illness to any person, property, or animal whatsoever, or for any loss arising from any competition, show, or event. It shall be a condition of entry/hire of the Centre that each entrant indemnifies the organisers against any legal action arising from any incident.
All competitors and attendees must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey the instructions of officials and stewards.
Parents or guardians are responsible for their children and must supervise them at all times.
The Collecting Ring is for warming up only. It is strictly not a viewing or standing area and is only for competitors in the current class.
Helmet & Safety Compliance: British Standard-approved hard hats must be worn at all times when mounted. Full and correct attire must be worn by competitors. For show jumping, all competitors and grooms must wear a properly fastened British Standard skull/hard hat. Failure to comply will result in elimination. Compliance with additional safety standards such as FEI regulations is encouraged.
Any individual seen to be causing distress or suffering to an animal will be asked to leave and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
No horse or pony under the age of four years shall be ridden in any competition.
Stallion handlers must ensure that stallions are secure at all times, including in stables and the collecting ring, and must display the appropriate FEI-approved ribbons and discs.
Vaccination Policy: All horses and ponies competing or using the Centre must be fully vaccinated against equine flu, with no vaccination administered in the six days prior to attending. Vaccination requirements for stabling may vary per event, as dictated by the British Horseracing Authority. Please check individual event pages for updates.
Horses and ponies must not be left unattended when tied outside horseboxes or trailers.
No lunging is permitted in any area of the Racecourse, including the arena and collecting ring.
Competitors must clean up droppings, hay, straw, or shavings from around their horsebox/trailer before leaving and dispose of waste at home.
Dogs Policy: Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and cleaned up after. Failure to do so will result in being asked to leave. No dogs are allowed on the Racecourse track or in stable yards.
It is recommended that all vehicles carry a fire extinguisher.
Aintree International Equestrian Centre reserves the right to alter schedules at any time without prior notice. Closing dates for shows may be adjusted if classes are full.
All entry and hire fees include VAT at 20%. VAT receipts are available upon request. All fees must be paid in full before leaving the Centre. A £15 administration fee plus interest applies to outstanding accounts or dishonoured cheques.
Refund Policy: No entry or stable fees will be refunded except in exceptional circumstances at the organisers' discretion (e.g., verified veterinary certificate).
Prize Money Payments: Winners must upload their bank details to their Horse Monkey profile for prize money transfers. It is the competitor’s responsibility to provide correct details. If bank details are not uploaded within 14 days of the event, prize money will be forfeited. Payments are subject to verification.
A £30 cash deposit must be paid to the Stable Manager upon arrival and will be returned after inspection, provided the stable is fully emptied of bedding and hay.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in stable areas and all buildings. Cigarette butts must be disposed of safely in designated bins.
Vehicles must be parked sensibly, leaving room for emergency access.
Competitors receiving outside assistance without prior permission may be eliminated from their class.
It is the responsibility of owners/riders to ensure that horses/ponies meet the correct height requirements for their class.
The decision of the Judge on the day in all classes is final.
Photography & Media: Professional event photographers and videographer licensed by Aintree Racecourse Developments Ltd will be present. Aintree reserves the right to use event images and videos for promotional purposes. Competitors wishing to opt out of photography use should notify the organisers in writing before the event. No unauthorised photographers are permitted.
Data Protection & GDPR: Aintree Racecourse Developments Ltd uses Horse Monkey for event administration. Entry details will be added to this system. Competitors who do not wish for their information to be stored should notify us, but this will prevent us from processing entries. Our Privacy Policy provides further details.
Insurance Requirement: All riders must have personal and third-party liability insurance. Competitors and owners are responsible for ensuring appropriate insurance coverage.
Alcohol & Drug Policy: The consumption of alcohol or use of drugs while handling or riding horses is strictly prohibited. Any person found in violation will be asked to leave immediately.
CCTV & Security: The premises are monitored by CCTV for safety and security. Footage may be used for incident investigations and is stored in compliance with data protection laws.
35. Liability Disclaimer: Aintree International Equestrian Centre is not responsible for injuries to competitors or non-competitors. All attendees participate at their own risk.
