The team look forward to welcoming competitors the farm. As the health and safety of all visitors is paramount please ensure that you have read the below information as you will be asked to comply with these guidelines during the course of your visit. Millie McBride Dressage reserves the right to ask competitors to leave the centre if any of the below guidelines are breached.

Daytime event, with a start time around 9 AM (may vary depending on entries; earlier start if necessary)
Refund Policy
No refunds or transfers within 48 hours before the event. Cancellations 48 hours prior to the event will get a refund minus a £4 admin charge.
Times will be posted on the event link two days prior to the competition.
Late Entries
Entries close 48 hours before the competition. Late entries incur a £3 fee, and must be submitted to Millie via text (07971263556) with rider and horse details.
Venue information
· The gate code is 0812 for entry and exit.
· As you get to the top of the driveway, it splits into 3. Please keep to the left and park in the car park.
· Please park with consideration to users of other vehicles and of farm machinery.
· Please keep off the grass at all times
· No hay tied outside lorries/trailers
· In the interests of safety, if possible please avoid bringing small children and NO DOGS as there is large farm machinery in use and resident dogs on site.
Accessing the arenas
· Indoor: take the road up towards the indoor arena that is behind the house.
· Outdoor arena: make your way up towards the hay barn and follow the path (with the stables on your right) into the arena.
Which arena will hold the warm up and the test will be decided based on weather. (Please note the outdoor arena is not fenced).
On the day of the competition
A recommended maximum of 6 competitors will be allowed in our warm up arenas. No member of the public may attend the warm up spaces on foot. A collecting ring steward will call each competitor to the Dressage arenas at their allotted time. The competitor must enter the arena via the designated entrance as directed by the collecting ring steward.
Scores will be added up at the venue after a class has concluded.
Competitors will be able to collect sheets from the venue on the day of the competiton.
Sheets will be laid out in the gallery area for collection once the class has finished.
Please allow the show secretary time to lay sheets out and please avoid gathering around the show secretary when collecting sheets and rosettes (as this may also be disturbing for anyone riding in the arena.
The show organiser will be Millie McBride- available for competitors to contact on the day of competition on 07971263556.
Each individual is personally responsible for their own health and safety.
Toilets will be available for use in the indoor arena.
Competitors may not access the livery facilities during their visit to the centre.
Before you leave:
· Please check you have removed all droppings and leave the areas you have used tidy.
BIOSECURITY MEASURES
All horses must be travelled with passports which can demonstrate that all vaccinations are up to date (Bury Farm operates a 12-month vaccination policy).
In line with biosecurity measures please have your passports available for inspection upon arrival at the centre. Horses must have up-to-date vaccinations and the organisers reserve the right to turn horses away from the competition if proof of vaccination records cannot be presented upon arrival.
Horses must also show no clinical signs of the following when attending the centre:
recent cough of unknown cause
recent nasal discharge of unknown cause
enlarged lymph nodes
fever (>38.5 degrees)
recent onset of neurological signs of unknown cause
diarrhoea
Horses must also not be under current investigation for Strangles or EHV infection
have not been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for Strangles or EHV and have not travelled out of the country for the past 28 days.
Horses should NOT be brought to the centre if they are not in good health on the date of travel.
Venue terms
1. The decision of the judges & stewards in all cases is final. They reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any part of the competition or to refuse any entry without stating a reason.
2. The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health, safety and welfare of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards.
3. The organisers will not be held responsible and accept no liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, rider, spectators, vehicles or their contents and accessories, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. It is a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify against any legal action arising from such incident.
4. All competitors must be suitably dressed in correct riding attire to current British Safety Standards. correclty fitted and up to current safety standard Hats and Riding / Jodhpur boots must be worn for all classes.
5. Horses & ponies tied to lorry or trailers must not be left unattended.
6. Please ensure the area around your horsebox / trailer is clean and tidy. Droppings collected and not swept onto or left on the premesis. Please take litter home or use the bins provided.
7. Children must be supervised at all times
8. Whilst outside arenas, horses and ponies should be moved at a walk only.
9. No dogs allowed.
10. Drivers are urged to take extra care when driving around the farm and in the surrounding villages. Please be mindful of horses, pedestrians & other vehicles.
By entering any equestrian class or competition run or held at Millie McBride Dressage you acknowledge that you are taking part in a risk sport and are a competent rider at the level to which you are competing.
