An advanced online safeguarding training course written specifically for the equestrian sector in association with the British Equestrian Federation.
This course is aimed at equestrian coaches/instructors or anyone else who has already completed a British Equestrian Federation virtual safeguarding course and wishes to refresh their knowledge. This course covers both child and adult safeguarding including topics such as being person-centred, making referrals and handling allegations.
Please note: It is a requirement of the British Equestrian Federation that professionals attend a BEF virtual safeguarding training course within the 3 years prior to taking this course as refresher training.

This is an online refresher that will be assigned to you by Head Office. Once assigned, this refresher can be done at any time of your convenience and a certificate will be generated automatically once the course is completed. You only need email confirmation from the course provider 'The Child Protection Company' to start this course and do not need correspondance from Head Office. Once you have your certificate, please send this to officials@britishdressage.co.uk to add to your coach profile.

Please note: British Dressage Coaches may only complete this online 'click-through' refresher course every second certificate renewal (every 6 years) provided that compliance has not lapsed in the meantime. Holders of an online course certificate must complete an interactive classroom course within 3 years of its issue date in order to remain compliant.
All BD coaches are required to complete an interactive classroom course (either virtual online classroom or face-to-face) if they do not already hold a compliant safeguarding certificate, or greater then three years have elapsed since its issue.
