Come to the Yorkshire Riding Centre for a day camp with Sarah Huntridge and Claire Carney.
The day will comprise of a variety of ridden sessions including:
Working In Wobbles - Do you find it challenging to work with groups of riders? This will be a flat work session working with other combinations under the guidance of one of our coaches.
Dressage Phase - You will have the opportunity to ride through a British Dressage test of your choice. This will be judged, feedback given, score sheet and rosette.
Show Jumping Phase - You will get to ride around a course of show jumps with a coach to support you. They will give you feedback after your round before you head out again. This can be very low fences or at a height which you feel comfortable or challenging.
In the afternoon there will be a competition including a dressage test and show jumping round.
Sessions are tailored to suit the combinations. This camp is designed to be exactly what you and your confidence needs!
There will be a stable management sessions.
At the end of the day there will be a prize giving in the members pavilion.
Who Is camp for?
Our coaches Sarah Huntridge and Claire Carney have been selected to provide a warm and welcoming learning environment for you and your horse. You will all go away having achieved more than you imagined but, no one or their horse will be pushed to do anything they don’t want to. Everyone will be treated as individuals and with respect whatever the level you are riding at.
The ability of the groups may range from some who are not sure they want to even ride in front of people, to those regularly competing.
Some people want to come more for the social, to be fed, watered and have some special horsey time and that is fine too. We are friendly community at YRC and welcome all riders to enjoy our facilities.
Important bits.
The camp costs £100 for the day, limited to 12 riders.
There are no hidden extras - camp includes all day stabling, food for yourself including snacks, tuition and coaching on and off horse, facility hire, use of the YRC members pavilion facilities, kitchen and relaxing area.
Stabling is a big airy stable block. Each stable will come with a day bed of shavings. Additional shavings can be purchased with cash on the day.
Additional stabling on Saturday and/or Sunday evening can be
pre- booked along with hook up.
Food and refreshments for family and friends can also be
pre-booked.

- ALL entries must be made online before the close of entries date
- Late entries will only be accepted if there is space.
- No entries will be accepted after the times have been published.
- Entries can not be changed after the times have been published.

- Riders must hold public liability insurance.
Refund policy
- No refunds will be issued to any withdrawals after the close of entries.
- A 75% refund will be given to those who withdraw before the close of entries, in writing 5 days prior.
- In the event that a session is cancelled a refund will be issued minus a £1.50 administration fee.
- Entries which are refunded will be minus the £1.50 booking fee which is paid directly to Horse Monkey.
