Classes
NSEA Grass Roots Rules
Horse/rider combinations may compete in two consecutive height classes on the same pony
40 &50 or 50 & 60 or 60 & 70cm
A GR rider may not jump in 70cm and 40cm or 50cm classes (except h/c)
A rider is not eligible for GR if they are jumping 90cm and may only jump 60 and 70 GR classes if they have completed 5 x 80cm classes.

** Restricted riders can only have competed in 60 & 70cm classes, no national championships qualifiers and a maximum of 5 x 80cm class
**Open riders may have competed in national 70 & 80cm qualifiers, but not 90cm
1st & 2nd placed team & 1-4th placed individuals will qualify for the 26th annual NSEA National Schools Championships 2024
October 2023 3rd -8th placed team & 5th-8th placed individuals will qualify for the NSEA Championship Plate 2024

· Class 2 Novice 80-85cm Team & Individual Qualifier
Single phase. All team riders automatically count as individuals.
· Class 3 Intermediate 90-95cm Team & Individual Qualifier.
Single phase. All team riders automatically count as individuals
· Class 4 1m-1.05 Open Team & Individual Qualifier
Single phase. All team riders automatically count as individuals
· Class 5a/b 1.10m Advanced Open Individual Qualifier
Single phase. This class will be split into 5a) Horses, 5b) Ponies
( 2 x horses and 2 x ponies to qualify)
Format
Eland Lodge is proud to be a well organised, professional and friendly competition venue. All show jumping competitions are held on our Andrews Bowen Pro Wax surface. For full rules and eligability please visit the NSEA website
What to wear
Hair must be above collar length, long hair to be kept in place in a hair net.
Your Responsibility
TV & Photography
Please note that professional photographers will be present at NSEA competitions. There may also be TV cameras at the Championships. Please indicate on the entry form if you do not wish to appear in press coverage/ TV or photos taken by our official photographers.
