Craven Arena Winter Dressage series We are excited to announce the return of our popular winter points series here at Craven Arena. It is a great way to keep you and your horse going over winter in a fun and friendly environment. We welcome everyone of all levels to our competitions, from just starting out or experienced dressage riders. Our points series will be made up of 7 events that run from September 24 to March 25, with each made up of the new 2024 BD tests Intro to Medium. Each competition will have a mixture of long and short arena tests. We will be ending our series with a prestation evening including an appearance by a very special guest! To register for our points series please follow this link: Equestrian event Craven Arena Winter Dressage Series – Number registration – Horse Monkey Events Dates*: Saturday 21st September Sunday 20th October Saturday 9th November Sunday 22nd December Saturday 25th January Saturday 22nd February Saturday 15th March Prize giving evening with special guest dates tbc *Dates may change How to earn points 1st – 6 Ponts 2nd – 5 points 3rd – 4 Points 4th – 3 Ponits 5th – 2 Points Each entire into a points class – 1 Point Best Turned out – 1 Point Points are counted per each horse and rider combination competing at each level E.g. Lucy & Jack competing at Intro. Horse/Ponies and riders can be a part of multiple combinations. Combinations will be assigned a number at registration; this number must be worn at each time of competing. At least one number should be worn to each competition, ideally 2. Please note we do not provide a physical number. Combinations can only compete at two consecutive levels such as Intro and Prelim if a combination would like to compete at a higher or lower level than usual, they are able to do so without accruing points. If a combination would like to change the level, they are competing at they must speak to the event secretary. Each combination’s top 5 scores will count toward the overall champion for each level. All Craven Arena Competitions are run to BD rules. We want to foster an inclusive and welcoming culture therefore any behavior in which the competitor is seen to be rude or aggressive to any staff member, volunteer or fellow competitor. They will be withdrawn from the competition and the series as a whole, without a refund.
