Whips to be of British Showjumping standard
NO SCHOOLING WHIIPS ALLOWED AT ANY LEVEL AT ANY LEVEL
Excessive use of the whip will not be tolerated, and at the judges discretion will result in the rider being eliminated from the competition.
All competitions results count towards points total.
Points are awarded as follows in individual competitions:-
20 points 1st
18 points 2nd
16 points 3rd
14 points 4th
12 points 5th
10 points 6th
8 points 7th
6 points 8th
4 points 9th
2 points 10th
Only riders registered for the Rural Riders Challenge game points, highest placed registered Rural Rider will gain 20 points, even if not placed first, in the open competition, the other points awarded accordingly down on the results tables, even if riders are not placed in open competition, but are registered for Rural Riders challenge.
If at the final championship show, two riders are tied on points, the championship will be awarded to the fastest time in the jump off, of that class on the championship day
Team Show Jumping
Maximum of 4 riders can be registered in any one team.
All 4 members can compete in all competitions and a minimum of 3 to count as a team score
Best 3 scores count towards placing and points in all team competitions.
One rider may ride 2 different horses/ponies in the same team, as long as both horses/ponies are declared at time of registration
A rider may ride in 2 different teams as long as they are jumping at different heights, if riding the same horse/pony
If registering as a team, each rider will automatically be eligible for the individual championship at the team level
Substitutions at the judges discretion, with a minimum 24 hours, notice before date of competition
Cross poles, 40cm and 50cm ONLY
1. Assistance is allowed, if being lead, the lead rope must be attached to the noseband and NOT the bit
2. A parent or appointed person will be allowed to stand inside the arena for confidence of a rider.
3. A rider will be allowed three refusals, after the third refusal, the rider will be eliminated and the bell will be rung to indicate this and the rider must leave the arena.
4. Full of rider is elimination and rider must leave the arena dismounted.
60cm and above classes
1. 2 refusals in the first round results in elimination and the bell will be rung to indicate this and the rider must leave the arena.
