Once you have placed your entry please go to www.lochnessriding.co.uk and fill in the "Rider/Comp training form" so that we have your details in case of emergencies.

We suggest you ride in small groups of 2 or 3 so that you enjoy the experience and we will leave gaps between the groups when timing you out so that it gives your horses a chance to settle down to the task in hand.

We recommend that horses are either booted or shod for the longer routes. Maps and talkrounds will be sent by email prior to the ride. Distances given on the entry form are only approximate. The talrounds will give more accurate distances and if you want to change distance on the day, that is ok, as long as you let us know when you sign in.

All riders must hold their own public liability insurance. You must provide proof of your insurers on the LNR website form you are required to fill in - see below

Refund policy

Refunds are only given on production of a vet or doctors certificate.
