A fabulous, new fun ride by kind permission of the Herriard Estate.
Three routes will be avaliable on the day suitable for all level of riders:
Route One: Twelve mile route full of long canters and optional jumps
Route Two: Eight mile route with plenty of canters and trotting with optional jumps
Route Three: Three mile route suitable for lead rein / pony
The route winds and weaves through beautiful forestry, woodland and farmland with a large range of optional jumps ranging from 1'6" to 3'. Friendly stewards will be present along the route to assist riders.
Online entries & payment only. No entries on the day.
Pricing per route taken:
Route One and Two: £35 per rider
Route Three: £25 per rider
Start times are half hour slots and are available on a first come, first served basis. Please book into your chosen start time slot when you enter. Slots will close when full. If a group would like to ride together, please make sure you all book into the same time slot.
Terms & conditions
1. All riders must wear hard hats/crash helmets to BS EN 1384 1997 or PAS 015 1998 standards, body protectors are recommended. Medical armbands are optional.
2. Horses and ponies must be at leaat 4 years old.
3. Equine Influenza Requirements: All horses and ponies coming to the Fun Ride must have had their first 2 vaccinations of the course

3. Equine Influenza Requirements: All horses and ponies coming to the Fun Ride must have had their first 2 vaccinations of the course and/or a booster within the last 12 months. 6 monthly boosters are recommended. Passports will be checked.
4. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
5. Children under the age of 12 must be escorted by an adult.
6. Riders must not deviate from the course under any circumstances. Any rider found riding in a reckless or dangerous manner will be asked to leave.
7. The Organisers, the Staff College Drag Hunt Ltd, the volunteers, the Land Owners and all persons involved with the running of the ride, disclaim all liability for any damage or injury to any persons or property, howsoever caused, whether by negligence or otherwise. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you confirm that you hold appropriate public liability insurance for you and your horse.
8. The decision of the Organisers on any matter shall be final.
9. Riders agree to comply with all instructions from any of the Organisers or Stewards.
10. Should the event be cancelled due to inclement weather or due to reasons beyond the control of the Organiser, refunds will be issued less a £5.00 administration levy.
11. By entering the Herriard Fun Ride, riders agree to these Rules and Conditions of Entry.
Staff College Drag Hunt Fun Rides are run by and on behalf of Staff College Drag Hunt Ltd, Registered Company No. 12189519, a Not For Profits Limited Company.
Refund policy
Refunds will be issues as long as at least 24 hours notice is given prior to the event starting.
