Class 1 – MINI Section – Saturday 8th June
Teams to consist of three members aged 10 years & under. One member to be 8 years or under. Both on 1st January 2024
Questions will be based on the care section of the E and D tests and easier parts of the D+ test plus associated mini achievement badges.
Class 2 – JUNIOR Section – Sunday 9th June
Teams to comprise of three members aged 13 years and under. One member to be 11 years or under. Both on 1st January 2024
Questions will be based on the care section of the D, D+ and C tests and easier parts of the C+ test plus associated achievement badges.
Class 3 – SENIOR Section – Sunday 9th June
Teams to comprise of three members aged under 25 years. One member to be 16 years or under, of the remaining two members one may be between 21 and 25 years. All on 1st January 2024.
Questions will be based on the care sections for the C+ and B tests, AH test and associated achievement badges.
Combined Teams
A Branch/Centre unable to raise a complete team may, with the permission of both DCs/Centre Proprietors, combine with another Branch/Centre within Area 7. This team can qualify for the Championships.
Novice Teams
A Branch or Centre may enter an inexperienced team at a lower level, e.g. a Junior team in the Mini competition, to gain experience. This team will not be eligible for prizes or qualification.
Reasonable Adjustment
Any team member who has been diagnosed as requiring reasonable adjustment must provide a doctor’s/qualified therapist’s/school’s written assessment before close of entries. This gives us and our assessors time to consider how best to help as necessary.
Times will be emailed out to Team Managers on 5th June.
PRIZES
Rosettes to 10th place in Classes 1 & 2, and to 6th place in Class 3.
Rosettes to all competitors in Class 1 – Mini Class.
A “Best Individual Award” will be presented to an outstanding individual in each level of the competition.
The winning Mini, Junior & Senior team will qualify for the Horse & Pony Care Championships. Further teams may qualify according to the number of entries on the day.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. To be run under Pony Club Rules 2024.
2. This competition is open to teams of 3 from Pony Club Branches and Centres in Area 7.
3. Competitors should dress in an appropriate manner suitable for safe working in the stable environment i.e. Centre/Branch sweatshirt and safe footwear. All competitors must wear PC (pink) tagged riding hats when handling horses and gloves where appropriate.
4. The judges’ decision is final.
5. Complaints must be made to the secretary within 15 minutes of the results being posted with £20 – refundable if the complaint is upheld.
6. No Dogs.
7. Please note this is a no smoking site throughout.
8. Entries close on 1st June

2. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
3. This competition is open to Pony Club members only.
