NEW EQUINE FLU vaccination information: In order for any horse to compete it must have had the primary course of flu vaccinations consisting of two injections given no less than 21 days and no more than 60 days apart.
The first booster is given between 120 and 180 days Additional boosters should then be given within 6 or 12 months depending on the governing body you are competing under.
Foals do not require vaccinations prior to weaning
There is no requirement for horses that have received their primary course and first booster before 1 January 2024, to be re-vaccinated provided that they have been vaccinated in compliance with the 2023 Veterinary Regulations. |

Admission is granted and entries accepted only on recognition of this condition. The North West Irish Draught & Hunter Show accepts no responsibility for any injury arising from any failure to comply with the Show Rules.
Proof of age may be required.
If in the opinion of the judges/stewards any horse is regarded to compromise the safety of other competitors, horses or spectators, they will be asked to leave the ring.
A fall of horse or rider in any ridden class will lead to elimination from the class.
Boots and martingales are not permitted in any flat ridden class.
No tack which conceals an animal’s conformation or identifies an animal, its owner or sponsor is allowed in any ring.
