The Elandlodge.com Hunter Trial Championships is an exciting series of hunter trial competitions held at venues up and down the country, and culminates in the annual National Hunter Trial Championship Finals.
A real test of partnership and skill, competitors take on Cross Country style courses which can include XC jumps, hunting fences, rustic jumps or other obstacles which may be encountered whilst riding. Great for riders of all abilities, this grassroots competition features classes from inviting 50cm through to technical 1m tracks, and also includes a pairs class.
Qualifiers are held at venues around the country and the series culminates in the Elandlodge.com Hunter Trial National Championship Final.
This series was formerly known as the Horseware National Hunter Trial Championships, until new sponsors elandlodge.com took on the series in 2019.
Hoodies
Hoodies are available in children's and adult's sizes and can be purchased here and will be ready to collect at the event. They must be ordered by 1pm on 11th September 2024.
Entry Fee:
Classes 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 - £38, Class 4 - £56, plus a £5 per rider cash start fee which must be paid to the secretary when declaring.
Entries close one week prior, or earlier if the event is oversubscribed. Late entries may be accepted after the closing date if space permits, these will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. A £3 late entry fee per class will apply.
Format
There will be an undisclosed optimum time in each class. The winner will be the rider with the least number of jumping penalties who is closest to the optimum tim.e Certain fences on the Cross Country course may have a black flag option (alternative) but these will attract time or penalty points. These will be clearly marked.
Rules
What to Wear
Appropriate cross country competition wear must be worn. You must wear an up to standard peakless hat (as per British Eventing Rules). You must wear an up to standard Body Protector. If an Air Jacket is worn, this must be worn over a standard Body Protector. You will need to provide your own number bib (a limited supply will be available to purchase in our shop on the day).
Times
Start times will be published 48 hours before the event and will be available on this event page.
Declaring
Competitors are to declare at the show secretary’s tent to collect their numbers before entering the warm up arena.
Cancellation & Withdrawals
You will receive a 100% refund up to one week prior to the event. After this date you will be refunded only if we can fill your space. If you would like to withdraw please contact us via email or phone. For further information about cancellation and refunds please click here.
