IMPORTANT CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
ENTRIES
All competitors must be a paid up member of The Pony Club within Areas 1 and 19. Competitors must have Qualified from one of the 2023/24 Qualifier rounds in Areas 1 and 19 except those entering the direct entry classes where indicated. When entering please specify your Branch, Area and Team name if you are taking part in the Team competition. Teams must be agreed by your DC and the correct team name given on entry.
Multiple Horses – competitors may qualify a maximum of two horses for the Championships in any one class. In the event of a rider qualifying more than two horses for the Championships, they must nominate which two they will take at the Preliminary Round. The other qualifying place will be passed down the line.
Multiple Riders – horses may be ridden by up to two different riders at a Preliminary Round but by only one rider at the Championships.
Multiple Levels – riders cannot compete in more than two consecutive classes per day on the same horse/pony. Horses/ponies cannot compete more than once in each class or in more than two classes on the day.
This rule excludes Mini Major and Dressage to Music entries.
Teams
Should a Branch/Centre have three or four members qualify at any Preliminary Competition, at any level, these members can combine to compete as a mixed level team at the Spring Festival Championships. The team members can compete at different levels with a maximum of two members at the same level (excluding Freestyle to Music classes). A team must comprise of at least three members (i.e., one member may ride two horses) and the top three scores to count at the Championships. Teams must be declared prior to entries closing for the Spring Festival Championships in March. A single combination, rider and horse, taking part in two classes can be in one or two teams. The combination’s score for a class can not be used twice.
Triple Qualifier Prize
Rosette and Toblerone bar awarded to those Qualifiers entering a Championship class in each discipline, (includes direct entry Open Dressage and Grand-Prix classes)
SUBSTITUTIONS
Substitutions of horse/pony or rider will not be accepted at the Championships.
STABLING
To be booked direct with Morris Equestrian, not guaranteed but if you specify your Area on booking Morris will try to group Area stables together.

Photographic Rights
Competitors and their parents/guardians have given permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of the Pony Club and/or Official Sponsors of the Pony Club.
Passport and Vaccinations
A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany the horse/pony to this event and must be available for inspection if required by event officials. Vaccinations must be in accordance with the Pony Club Vaccination Rule 2024.
Withdrawals
If a Branch or Centre withdraws a team or individual prior to the closing date of 13 March, a full refund of entry and stabling fees will be made, less an administration charge. Withdrawals after the closing date, 13 March, will not be refunded.
Abandonment
In the event of a competition being abandoned, for whatever reason, a refund of 50% of the entry fee will be given. In such an instance the refund process will be communicated and must be followed.
Legal liability
Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
Health, Safety & Welfare
Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
