This camp is being run for RoR SE members and any other RoR members that may wish to attend.
There will be two ridden sessions per day, AM and PM.
The price paid includes:
two ridden coached sessions per day, either dressage or SJ in the morning and then XC in the afternoon both days.
stabling for the night of Saturday 14th October, and use of stable Saturday and Sunday including basic bedding,
your camping / lorry pitch - there is no hook up facility,
access to fully catered kitchen for preparing your own meals, Saturday and Sunday,
complete use of all Tweseldown equestrian facilities,
use of loos and shower facilities,
tea, coffee, biscuits througout duration of camp.
You will be responsible for bringing the following with you:
your horse's passport with up to date vaccinations as per RoR competition rules,
hay / haylage for your horse for the duration of camp,
hard feed for your horse for the duration of camp,
extra bedding for your horse should you wish it - only shavings please, no straw or paper,
your own food for your meals during camp, (we will go to the pub on Saturday evening),
mucking out tools, buckets for water and washing off,
grooming tools,
handheld and / or head torches (please note there is no lighting in the stable area)
body protectors for riding cross country,
crash hats must be worn at all times when mounted.
For your booking to be accepted you MUST include the following information:
Your e mail, mobile phone number and emergency contact information,
Failure to supply your emergency contact information in advance will mean that you will be unable to go cross country at camp.
To go cross country you will need to wear an up to date body protector. These will be checked.
Please note that passports will be checked on arrival and no horse will be admitted to the stables without correct up to vaccinations as per RoR rules.
All sessions will be group sessions unless a private is requested at extra cost in advance. This does not guarantee that a private session will be possible.
All coaching will be provided by Clare Chamberlayne.
If this camp is heavily subscribed then an additional coach will be brought in.
In order to ensure that you are allocated to the correct group you must complete an additional booking form that will be e mailed out to once payment has been received. You must complete this and return it via e mail as per the instructions on the booking form.
Groups will be available from 70cms upwards. This camp will be suitable for both new / novice and more advanced competitions.
Please note that RoR will not have exclusive use of this venue at any point and that there may be occasions when there are several groups mounted and using the cross country course at any one time.
Tweseldown is a unique venue that has been a horse trials and formerly a point to pointing venue for a considerable length of time. If you are unfamiliar with Tweseldown and wish to know more about the venue then please see www.tweseldown.co.uk.
Please note that Tweseldown is an unfenced venue and RoR members and camp attendees are asked to be mindful about this at all times. Neither Tweseldown nor RoR will accept any liability for any damage to or caused by a horse getting loose whilst either mounted or unmounted at any point for the duration of camp.
Camping - you may either reside in your horsebox or you may bring a tent. Tweseldown has loos and showers on site, but there will be no electrical hook up with your pitch. There will be limited access to wall mounted electrical plugs for charging mobile phones. If you have access to vehicle chargers you are strongly recommended to bring them.
You will have access to a fully catered kitchen for doing your own cooking. BBQs will not be permitted.
Family members that wish to attend simultaneously but not on an RoR horse can be accommodated. But please whatsapp 07887525689 to book privately.
Dogs are not recommended - if they must come then they MUST be on a lead at all times and must be shut away in a car or lorry when the owner is mounted. Neither Tweseldown nor RoR accept any liability for any damage to or caused by a loose dog at any time. Please note that Tweseldown is an AONB with frequent foot paths on it, so loose dogs as a result cannot be permitted.
Booking is on a strictly first come first served basis.
In the event that this camp fills, a waiting list will be held.
