Hunter Trial over beautiful open terain incorporating natural features. Permanent pasture allows for excellent free draining land. Four different courses and changed from year to year. The course is open for hire all year from March but does close circa 10 days before hunter trials.
There will be a course walk of the 90,75,65 courses on Saturday 16th September. Sarah Houlden Level 3 BE Coach and designer of the hunter trials will give some inside tips! Very popular in the past with pointers on rules, lines, why jumps are positioned where they are etc....
Classes suitable for all ages and abilities. Rosettes will be awarded to 6th place in each class with prizes in kind. Completion rosettes to class 7.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
The Organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organiser and all officials and stewards.
RULES AND CONDITIONS
1. The organisers reserve the right to cancel or combine classes, alter advertised times or refuse entry. A waiting list will be held if oversubscribed.
2. It is a condition of entry that:
A - Any person when mounted must wear a riding hat to a minimum of either PAS 015:2011, VG01.040 2014-12, Snell 2016 or 2021 or ASTM-F1163 2004A onwards with SEI mark. They must be correctly fastened at all times; Only a jockey skull with NO peak and NO peak extensions are allowed.
B - Body protectors must be worn, Level 3 BETA 2009 or 2018.
3 HAT CAMERAS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
4 No refund of entry money will be made after the closing date.
In the event cancellation for any reason, the entry money will be refunded less 15% to cover admin fees.
If rider withdraws 7 days or more prior to the event date, there will be a full refund less an administration fee of 15%.
There will be no refund if the rider withdraws less than 7 days prior to the event date.
5 Competitors requesting a preferred start time within their class should advise the Secretary on their entry form through Horse Monkey.
6 Approximate times of starting will be available via Horse Monkey.
7 The course will be open for course walking from 1400hrs on Saturday 16th September.
8 Any complaint must be made in writing accompanied by a £25 deposit to the Secretary. The deposit will be refunded if the complaint is upheld or at the discretion of the Chief Steward whose decision is final.
9 All horses and ponies must be 5 years old or over.
10 Eliminated riders will not be allowed to continue. In the interest of safety to riders and horses we WILL ask for those eliminated on the course to leave the course at a walk EXCEPT CLASS 6 they may continue only at discretion of jump judge and controller. If the rider has had two dismounts or is holding up the course or deemed unsafe you will be asked to leave the course. If in any doubt, please come and school over the course at least 14 days beforehand although portables will be moved.
11 Please ensure that all litter and general debris is disposed of responsibly. Please do not muck out your horsebox in the horsebox park, IT’S A HAYFIELD.
12 All classes will be run under BE Rules, however if a rider has one dismount and is deemed fit to remount by the medical team, jump judge or steward they may be permitted. When a combination has had three refusals at one jump, or 5 accumulative refusals on course riders will be asked to leave the course for safety reasons.
13 Classes 1-6 will be judged to an optimum time. There is no optimum time for classes 7.
