RIHS & Blue Riband qualifying classes: - owners and riders must be BSPS members and the pony registered to compete in classes with RIHS & Blue Riband qualification. Animals must be registered with the AHS to compete in the Anglo & Part-Bred Arab classes.
This show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (BSPS), and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS classes, whether or not members of the BSPS, are subject to the constitution and rules of the BSPS, including the disciplinary procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS.
This show is a qualifier for the 2023 Royal International Horse Show (RIHS).

This show is a qualifier for the BSPS 2023 Championship Show.

All ponies must be 4 years old or over.
AGES FOR RIDERS OF STALLIONS:
Riders must be 12 years old or over on 1st January in the current year to ride any pony stallion not exceeding 138cm or Small Breed M&M stallion.
Riders must be 14 years old or over on 1st January in the current year to ride any pony stallion exceeding 138cm, or any Large Breed M&M stallion.
The safety and security of persons and animals attending this show is of paramount importance to the organisers of the show.
Competitors and all those attending the show are reminded of their obligations under Health & Safety legislation to adhere to the safety instructions of stewards and officials at all times, and to adhere to written instructions and signs relating to safety, for their own safety and for the safety of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions.
Exhibitors shall be responsible for the behavior of their assistants and riders, and for the conduct of such persons, and all persons in charge of exhibits shall be subject to instructions given by judges and stewards.
Anyone not adhering to directional signs and requests by Stewards and Officials will be required to leave the show field immediately.
All accidents must be reported to the Secretary’s office.
Neither Area 13a committee, nor any of its officers, servants or assistants shall be responsible or accountable for any loss, injury or damage to any person, animal, property or vehicle in connection with this show.
It is strongly advised that all competitors take out third party insurance on their horses and ponies.
It is requested that exhibitors please take their rubbish home with them. The mucking out of vehicles onto the hard standing is strictly forbidden.
We regret that the rings will not be delayed in the event of classes coinciding. Rings may be subject to alteration on the day,depending on how they are running.

Information Classification: PERSONAL
B.S.H.A. Classes.
This Show is held under rules of the British Show Horse Association. Owners, Riders & Horses must be registered.
Horses registered with the Association must be Owned, Exhibited and Ridden by current BSHA Members. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry form.
Classes 1 – 4 are qualifiers for the Amateur Championships at The Royal International Horse Show. The highest placed unqualified horse in each section in each class in the Hack, Cob and Riding Horse classes will qualify for the RIHS Amateur final with the two highest placed unqualified horses qualifying in the Maxi Cob class. The BSHA offer a Champion rosette to be awarded in the separate Amateur Championship.

The Amateur qualifying classes may be entered on a day ticket, but appropriate membership and horse registration must be applied for within 14 days of the qualifier in order to confirm qualification.
Classes 5 to 11 are Qualifiers for The Royal International Horse Show. The first prize winner will qualify to compete at the final. If already qualified the second will qualify, if the first and second are already qualified then the third will go forward. Horses competing at the RIHS and qualifying shows in Hunter sections of The Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain at their Affiliated Shows cannot compete in Hack, Cobs and Riding Horse classes at the same show, on the same day and vice versa. This does not apply to SHB (GB) Ridden Sport Horse classes.
The highest placed unqualified exhibit in each Open Affiliated class will qualify to compete in the BSHA Supreme of Year Final. The Finals will be held at the BSHA Hunter & National Championship Shows in September 2023. The BSHA offer a Novice, Young Rider and Amateur rosette in each Open class and a Champion rosette for each section (with the exception of Open Working Show Horse, Ladies Show Horse & HOYS Hunter classes).
Equifest
This Show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 2
nd-5th August 2023 The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify.
SWPA
This Show is affiliated to SWPA taking place at the David Broome EC on the 31st – 2nd September 2023 The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will UK Ponies & Horses RIHS Qualifiers
Owners must be Adult / Life Members, Riders must be current UK Ponies & Horses Limited Annual Members and the ponies currently registered with UK Ponies & Horses Limited before time of entry in order to compete in these classes Open to Mountain and Moorland Ridden Stallion (Intermediate class only), Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over. Registered in their approved Pure Breed Society Stud Books of Connemara, Dartmoor, Dales, Exmoor, Fells, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh A, B, C or D. The highest placed exhibit not already qualified within the first five will qualify for the UK Ponies & Horses Limited RIHS Young Riders M&M Ridden.
The highest placed pony and rider not already qualified within the first five will qualify for the UK Ponies & Horses Limited RIHS Amateur Riders M&M Finals at the RIHS in July 2023 Qualification will be verified by the office. Classes 30 to 33 are qualifiers.
Class 33 is a stand-alone class for UK PONIES & HORSES LIMITED AMATEUR RULES please speak to the association.
