Eland Lodge Unaffiliated Dressage

Unaffiliated Dressage competitions are a great way to get started with competitive dressage, and can also be used prepare your horse for eventing or affiliated dressage competitions.

The summer series includes classes from Intro to Elementary. Whether you’re just getting started or you’re progressing through the levels, you’ll find a competition that’s perfect for you Eland Lodge is proud to be a well organised, professional and friendly competition venue. All dressage competitions are held on our Andrews Bowen Pro Wax surface.

Entry Fee: £20 per class. Entries close one week prior to the competition, or earlier if the event is oversubscribed. Late entries may be accepted after the closing date if space permits, these will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. A £3 late entry fee per class will apply.

Format

All tests are the latest versions of those produced by BD. Tests can be purchased from their website www.britishdressage.co.uk. Each class will be split into Juniors and Seniors (provided there is more than one Junior rider in the class).

Eligibility

A horse & rider combination is eligible to compete in the following classes, providing they have not yet reached the number of British Dressage points stated below:

• Intro: 50 Points at Preliminary and none at any levels above
• Preliminary: 100 points at Preliminary or above
• Novice: 100 points at Novice or above
• Elementary: 75 points at Elementary or above

Start times will be published 48 hours before the event and will be available on this event page.

Declaring

Competitors are to declare at the secretary’s trailer before entering the warm up arena.

Cancellation & Withdrawals

You will receive a 100% refund up to one week prior to the event. After this date you will be refunded only if we can fill your space. If you would like to withdraw please contact us via email or phone. For further information about cancellation and refunds please click here.

Rosettes and Prizes

Rosettes and prizes will now be awarded in accordance with the following scale (as a minimum, additional rosettes/prizes may also be awarded at the discretion of the organiser).

Qualifiers

In Intro to Elementary classes, competitors placed 1st to 4th and scoring 58% or over will qualify for the UK Riders National Championship 2023. This will be split between Junior and Senior competitors. A junior competitor is aged 16 years and under on the 6th of September 2023.
