For selection, must have reached their 8th Birthday by 3 April 2023 and must be 13yrs and under - as at 1/1/23 and riding ponies no bigger than 14.2hh
Riders can qualify one pony only.
Any competitor already Qualified, or who subsequently qualifies, for a BS RHS Final will be ineligible to enter "the Pony Club RHS Championship class"

Eligibility
Riders CANNOT compete in the Open Grand Prix Competition if they have ridden in the Debut Competition in the same year.

When the second element of a double combination is a spread, the distances must be as for two non-jumping strides.
All Clear Rounds or the top 10 Competitors (from the first round) will go through to the second round. In the event of equality of faults time will decide. All scores in the first round will be

Open to any pony not exceeding 128cms to be ridden by registered members of The Pony Club up to the end of the calendar year in which the rider reaches the age of 12.

Members may enter as many of the qualifying rounds as they wish.
The winner and runner up of each competition will qualify for the final at The London International Horse Show (subject to eligibility, see below). All selection decisions of the Chairman of Show Jumping are final, and no correspondence will be entered into after the eight successful members have been announced. In all cases where the qualified member is unable to compete at The London International Horse Show, qualification will pass down the line to the next eligible member.

Eligibility
Any rider who has taken part in The Pony Club Mini-Major at Olympia in previous years is not eligible.
In order to be selected for the Mini Major, the rider must have paid their Pony Club Membership fee in full and must have attended at least three Branch/Centre or Area rallies between 1st July of the previous year and the date of the qualifying competition. (Team training does not count as a rally, see the Pony Club Handbook for further information).
An application form will be sent by The Pony Club to each rider provisionally selected for the London International Horse Show. Before selection can be confirmed, this form must be completed and returned by a parent or guardian and signed by the DC of the member’s branch. Amongst the information requested on the form will be full details and dates of the rallies attended by the member.

Members will be selected at the Barrier Animal Health Spring Festival 2022/23 from the Debut Championship Class at Morris on 3 April - to take part in this competition at the RHS held on Sunday 25th June 2023.
For selection, must have reached their 8th Birthday by 3 April 2023 and must be 13yrs and under - as at 1/1/23 and riding ponies no bigger than 14.2hh
Riders can qualify one pony only.
Any competitor already Qualified, or who subsequently qualifies, for a BS RHS Final will be ineligible to enter "the Pony Club RHS Championship class"

All selection decisions of the Chairman of Show Jumping are final, and no correspondence will be entered into after the eight successful members have been announced. In all cases where the qualified member is unable to compete at The London International Horse Show, qualification will pass down the line to the next eligible member.

Eligibility
Any rider who has taken part in The Pony Club Mini-Major at Olympia in previous years is not eligible.
In order to be selected for the Mini Major, the rider must have paid their Pony Club Membership fee in full and must have attended at least three Branch/Centre or Area rallies between 1st July of the previous year and the date of the qualifying competition. (Team training does not count as a rally, see the Pony Club Handbook for further information).
An application form will be sent by The Pony Club to each rider provisionally selected for the London International Horse Show. Before selection can be confirmed, this form must be completed and returned by a parent or guardian and signed by the DC of the member’s branch. Amongst the information requested on the form will be full details and dates of the rallies attended by the member.

ENTRIES
All competitors must be a paid up member of The Pony Club within Areas 1, 17 and 19. Competitors must have Qualified from one of the 2022/23 Qualifier rounds in Areas 1, 17 and 19 except those entering the direct entry classes where indicated. When entering please specify your Team name if you are taking part in the Team competition. Teams must be agreed by your DC and the correct team name given on entry.
Multiple Horses – competitors may qualify a maximum of two horses for the Final in any one class. In the event of a rider qualifying more than two horses for the Final, they must nominate which two they will take at the Preliminary Round. The other qualifying place will be passed down the line.
Multiple Riders – horses may be ridden by up to two different riders at a Preliminary Round but by only one rider at the Final.
Multiple Levels – subject to eligibility, combination of Riders/horses/ponies and/or combination of horse and rider CAN qualify for more than one Championship Class.
Riders cannot compete in more than two consecutive classes per day on the same horse/pony. Horses/ponies cannot compete more than once in each class or in more than two classes on the day. This rule excludes Mini Major and Dressage to Music entries.
Teams
Should a Branch/Centre have three or four members qualify at any Preliminary Competition, at any level within the same discipline, these members can combine to compete as a mixed level team at the Spring Festival Final. The team members can compete at different levels with a maximum of two members at the same level. A team must comprise of at least three members (i.e., one member may ride two horses) and the top three scores to count at the Final. Team Name must be declared when the team member enters the class and prior to entries closing for the Spring Festival Final in March. (In Dressage, the team competition excludes Freestyle to Music classes)
SUBSTITUTIONS
No substitutions may be made of horses or riders except in cases of illness, lameness or other unavoidable circumstances which must be certified by the District Commissioner or his appointed Representative. In such a case:
Teams – the DC/Centre Proprietor may substitute rider(s) and/or horse(s) in the Team before the times are published. If a horse has to be substituted an alternative rider may be nominated. If a rider has to be substituted an alternative horse may be nominated. If a Branch/Centre has qualified more than one team, a substitution may be made from one team to another. The substitute rider(s) / horse(s) must have Qualified for their class except where the class is a direct entry.
Individuals – A substitute horse may be entered but not a substitute rider. The horse must have completed a Qualifier Competition in 2022/23.
After the closing date, substitutions may only be made as per PC Show Jumping, Eventing or Dressage Rules 2023.
No substitutes shall be allowed after the Competition has started

Photographic Rights
Competitors and their parents/guardians have given permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of the Pony Club and/or Official Sponsors of the Pony Club.
Passport and Vaccinations
A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany the horse/pony to this event and must be available for inspection if required by event officials. Vaccinations must be in accordance with the Pony Club Vaccination Rule 2023.
Withdrawals
If a Branch or Centre withdraws a team or individual prior to the closing date of 13 March, a full refund of entry and stabling fees will be made, less an administration charge. Withdrawals after the closing date, 13 March, will not be refunded.
Abandonment
In the event of a competition being abandoned, for whatever reason, a refund of 50% of the entry fee will be given. In such an instance the refund process will be communicated and must be followed.
Legal liability
Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
Health, Safety & Welfare
Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
