Stud Fees 2023
All Stud Fees for fresh or chilled semen for insemination from resident stallions are on these Terms:

Stud Fees 2023
All Stud Fees for fresh or chilled semen for insemination from resident stallions are on these Terms:
 
Price: £795 stud fee (NFFR)
Collection (inc. post/package) £150.00
 
In case the mare doesn't get pregnant and you are able to provide a veterinary confirmation saying, that the mare is not in foal, you will get a free return to the same mare when ordering semen the following year. Please note: It is the duty of the owner of the mare to inform Mere Court Stud, if the mare is not in foal.The semen shall only be inseminated into the mare detailed on this form, any excess semen should be disposed of. Any other arrangements are made at the discretion of the stud. Further semen will only be despatched on receipt of a negative pregnancy diagnosis from the vet, a collection and delivery fee are payable for each dose of semen despatched. A £150 Booking fee is required to secure a nomination. The booking fee will be deducted from the stud fee and is non refundable, unless a veterinary certificate is supplied stating a veterinary reason for the nomination not to be taken.
 
Ordering of Semen
Full co-operation between the mare owner, the Stud & the Veterinary Surgeon carrying out the A.I. is essential. It is important that the Stud is kept informed of the mare’s progress & is informed as soon as the mare comes into season.Resident Stallions - under normal circumstances semen ordered by 10:30 am will be delivered by 10:30 am the next day (excluding Sunday deliveries).

However due to some mid week shows on certain dates an earlier order time may be necessary, therefore it is essential the stud is informed before the mare is injected into season.

Transport & availability of Semen
Unless collection is being arranged by you, semen will be sent by overnight delivery. The cost of this service for delivery Tues to Fri is included in the collection & delivery fee. Saturday and Monday delivery is extra. It should be noted that there is no delivery by overnight companies Sunday. Prices for this service are quoted on an individual basis. Semen can be collected from the stud, in these circumstances there will still be a collection, processing & mini tub hire charge but no delivery charge.The fees include 3 days equitainer/mini tub hire; it is the responsibility of the mare owner to return the Equitainer by recorded delivery within this time. Any extra days will be charged at £15 per day & any equitainer/mini tubs that are lost or damaged will be charged at the replacement cost to the mare owner. In the event that fresh/chilled semen is not available from the stallion frozen semen may be offered.We accept no responsibility whatsoever for delays or the non delivery of semen due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
 
Payment of fees
The stud fees and any delivery fees must be paid and cleared in full before semen can be despatched. A separate cheque should also be sent for the delivery amount, this will be left on file at the stud in case further semen is required, as this is often only found out on the day of scanning and can be needed the following day. If not required, this second cheque will be returned with the service certificates at the end of the season. Any outstanding stud or veterinary accounts not settled by 1st September will forfeit issuing of service certificates or eligibility for return discount.
 
Discounts are granted with prior agreement as follows:
From 2 to 4 mares, 10% discount.
From 5 to 9 mares, 15% discount.
From 10 to 19 mares, 20% discount.
From 20 to 30 mares, 30% discount.
 
Service certificates
Service certificates will be issued at the end of the stud season and will be sent out recorded delivery. Service certificates will only be issued on receipt of a positive pregnancy diagnosis form from your vet. Service certificates will be withheld until any outstanding accounts are settled. If lost or damaged duplicate service certificates can be issued at a cost of £25.

Payment by debit/credit card can be arranged through Horse Monkey (horsemonkey.com and search for the stallions name in the search bar). Cheques to be payable to: Astrid Bolton, please allow 5 working days for cheques to clear. Cheques will not be accepted as final payment on the day the mare is leaving the Stud. Banker’s drafts or Building society cheques, as with cash, do not need a clearing time. There will be a £50 charge for any returned cheques. For current charges please call me on 07966 443207.

Your privacy is very important to us, in line with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we will not share your information to third parties except in order to carry out our services or to run our business and care for your horse. We may need to share your data with other parties such as but not exclusive to Veterinary surgeons, Farrier, Physio, Passport agencies, Transport Companies, DEFFRA, Insurance Company, Legal entities and Police, debt collection agencies.I would like to receive ongoing news, offers by email from Mere Court Stud, I understand I can opt out of this at any time by requesting to be removed from the mailing list.
