What to wear
• Cross country attire
• You must wear an up to standard Peakless Hat (as per British Eventing Rules)
• You must wear an up to standard Body Protector.
• If an Air Jacket is worn, this must be worn over a standard Body Protector Times Start times will be published 48 hours before the event and will be available on this event page.
Declaring
Competitors are to declare at the Secretary's to pick up their number before entering the warm up arena.
The Points League
Our Arena Eventing competitions run as a Points League, with points being awarded to placed riders and those with a clear round. Points are awarded as follows: 7 points to First place down to 2 points for 6th. 1 point is also awarded to each unplaced clear round. At the last show of the season we will award a Points Series Champion for each height.
National Pony Society Arena Eventing Qualifier Classes
The 60cm to 90cm classes are qualifiers for the NPS/ ANTHONY EVANS ARENA EVENTING CHALLENGE FINAL. The final to be held at Aston Le Walls on 16th September 2023. The final is open to mares, geldings and stallions four year old and over, in possession of an equine passport but no specific registration or breed society criteria. Ponies’ manes may be plaited at competitor discretion. Qualification will be gained by achieving a top 10 placing or a double clear in a qualifying class. Qualification will be confirmed by the NPS Office. Any qualification gained in the 60/ 70cm or 80/ 90cm will jump the higher limit in the final. Riders may only ride one pony in each class at the final. Only ponies owned by NPS members (Life, Qualifying or Performance) can qualify for the final (must be a member at time of qualification).
