Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force.

Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms. The highest placed unqualified horse in the first three will qualify to enter at the Horse of the Year Show. This class will be judged in two parts. Part One (Jumping) will be judged first, without a jump-off. All clear rounds and any other horses the judges may require will go forward to the next part. A rider can ride up to two horses in the jumping phase but then must select only one horse to take forward into the ride and conformation section if so required (no change of rider is allowed). Entries close Thursday 2nd June. Entries may close early if we reach capacity so it is advised to enter as soon as possible.
Rosettes will be given to 6th place in all classes except Championships.

Terms and Conditions
1. These Terms and Conditions apply to all competitors and spectators and must be adhered to at all times. Entry into any competition, including the hire of the Centre, shall be deemed an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions
2. Aintree International Equestrian Centre, Aintree Racecourse Developments Limited and Aintree Racecourse Company Limited reserve the right to refuse entry/hire without stating the reason, to cancel the competition and all rights of admission.
3. Aintree International Equestrian Centre, Aintree Racecourse Developments Limited and Aintree Racecourse Company Limited do not accept any responsibility or liability for any injury, accident, damage or illness to any person, property or animal whatsoever, or for any loss whatsoever, arising out of, or occurring at any competition, show or event. It shall be a condition of entry, each entrant shall indemnify the organisers against any legal action whatsoever arising from any accident.
4. Everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the officials and stewards.
5. All entry, stable and hire fees include VAT@ 20%. All entries and hire fees must be paid for in full prior to leaving the Show. A £15 administration fee will be payable on any outstanding accounts or dishonoured cheques, plus interest.
6. All prize money will be paid back onto the card you paid with to enter, unless you have won more than the amount initially paid in entries. In this case, a BACS form will need to be filled out at the Show Office before the payment can be processed. All prize money payment methods take between 2 and 10 working days.
7. All horses and ponies using the Stables must have a current and valid certificate of vaccination against equine flu within the last 6 months but not in the 7 day day prior to arriving. There will be random checking of certificates, any queries regarding this, please call the Show Secretary.
8. All entries must be made on via HorseMonkey with full entry fees. Every Exhibitor and Competitor will be held responsible for the correctness of his or her entry forms and if he/she fails, when called upon by the Stewards or Show to prove the correctness of such entry, the entry may be disqualified and any award made to it cancelled.
9. No motor bikes or scooters are allowed on the Racecourse. All dogs must be kept on leads and under proper control at all times and cleaned up after
10. Any individual seen to be causing distress or suffering to any animal will be asked to leave the Racecourse and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
11. No horse or pony under the age of 4 years shall be ridden in any Class.
12. Full and correct attire must be worn by all competitors when riding. For all classes all competitors and grooms, when mounted, must wear a British Standard skull/hard hat, which must be fastened. Failure to do so will incur elimination. Aintree Equestrian Centre accepts no responsibility for any injury arising from a failure to comply with this.
13. Any competitor who is considered by the organisers, stewards, judges to have received outside assistance without prior permission, will be eliminated from the Class.
15. All Society registration numbers must be given where applicable.
16. All Competitor numbers are to be collected from the Secretary’s Office on arrival at the Showground, if they have not been sent out in the post.
17. The Organisers reserve the right to appoint a replacement Judge whenever it is deemed necessary.
18. Objection to entries or awards must be made in writing to the Secretary on the Show Day, accompanied by a deposit of £50 which will be refunded if the objection is sustained.
19. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, limit, divide or amalgamate any Class.
20. The decision of the Judge is final.
21. Horses and ponies may be measured at the discretion of the Judge unless in possession of a valid J.M.B. height certificate.
22. No animal suffering from a contagious disease may be brought onto the Racecourse.
23. In the event of a Veterinary Surgeon advising the removal of any animal from the Show, his decision shall be final and immediately complied with.
24. All disputes shall be referred to the Aintree Equestrian Centre Organisers, whose decision is final.
25. Exhibitors are responsible for all costs in connection with any veterinary treatment given on the Showground and must be settled at the time with the Veterinary Surgeon concerned.
26. It is a condition of entry that exhibitors conform with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and for ensuring that safe working practices are followed by themselves, their employees, Agents and Contractors. Exhibitors shall at all times comply with the instructions of the Show Officials.
27. Exhibitors Risk and Responsibility – Neither AINTREE RACECOURSE or AINTREE INTERNATIONAL EQUESTRIAN CENTRE, NOR ANY OF IT’S OFFICERS OR SERVANTS SHALL BE IN ANY WAY RESPONSIBLE or accountable for anything that may happen (from any cause or circumstances whatsoever) to exhibitors or their servants or agents or to any exhibit or to any vehicle carrying any exhibit or anything else brought into the Showground or for anything else arising out of the Show. EACH EXHIBITOR shall be solely responsible for any consequential or other loss or injury or damage done to or commissioned by or arising from any animal or article exhibited by him or her and shall indemnify the Show against all legal or other proceedings in regard thereto.
28. The Show cannot be responsible for the clashing of Classes and exhibitors should bear this in mind when making their entries. We cannot guarantee timings, it is up to the competitor to keep an eye on when their class is. Entry fees WILL NOT be refunded if you miss your class or your class clashes.
29. REFUNDS will only be given on the production of a valid veterinary certificate. Only class entry fee and first aid fee will be refunded. Online booking fee NOT included. Stables and hook ups (if available at the show) will not be refunded unless they have been resold.
