Notes

Entries open only to Qualifiers of the Spring Festival preliminary round, with exception only within the Open Dressage, Grand Prix Open Show Jumping and Mini Major classes which are direct entry. All other classes are for Qualifiers only.
 
Multiple Horses – competitors may qualify a maximum of two horses for the Championships in any one class. In the event of a rider qualifying more than two horses for the Championships, they must nominate which two they will take.

Multiple Riders on one horse – horses may be ridden by up to two different riders at a Preliminary Round but by only one rider at the Championships.
 
RidersRiders cannot compete in more than two consecutive classes per day. Horses/ponies cannot compete more than once in each class or in more than two classes on the day.

Multiple Levels in Dressage – subject to eligibility, combination of horse/pony and rider CAN qualify for both the Novice and Intermediate Championships Final in the same year but CANNOT also take part in the Open Championships Final.
Combination of horse/pony and rider CAN compete in the Intermediate Championship Final and the Open Championship Final.
 
Multiple Levels in Show Jumping – subject to eligibility, combination of horse/pony and rider CAN qualify for both the Debut Championship Final and PC Challenge Championship Final in the same year but CANNOT also take part in the Open Grand Prix Final.

Combination of horse/pony and rider CAN compete in the PC Challenge Championship Final and the Open Grand Prix Final.
 
Arena Eventing – 70cm class - Riders in this class must be aged 14 years and under on 1st January 2021.
 
 
ELIGIBILITY RULES
Show Jumping
A COMBINATION taking part in the Debut Spring Festival Final WILL still be eligible to do Regional PC80 in the summer.
A COMBINATION WILL NOT be able to do the Regional PC80 competition in the summer if they compete at the PC Challenge Spring Festival Final (ENG/WAL or SCO/NI) or indeed if they compete in the Open Grand Prix Spring Festival Class.

Dressage
A COMBINATION WILL NOT be able to do the Regional Championship competition in the summer if they compete at the PC Novice Spring Festival Final (ENG/WAL or SCO/NI) or indeed if they compete in the Intermediate or Open Grand Prix Spring Festival Class.

Arena Eventing
A COMBINATION taking part in the Arena Eventing Spring Festival Final WILL still be eligible to enter the Grassroots Regional Championship and Area Competitions.
 
VACCINATION RULES
FOR SPRING FESTIVAL AND AREAS
Booster vaccinations must be administered at a maximum of 12 months intervals. Horses competing at the finals of the Spring Festival and at qualifying competitions for summer championships, including the Grassroots Regional Championships, must have received a booster within the 6 months +21 days (but not within the 7 days) before arrival at the competition.

Haylage – only large bale Haylage is available to purchase direct from Morris: £65 per bale, branches/areas should club together to purchase.

Event booking Closing Date 23-03-2022

  • Refund policy No entries will be refunded except on the production of vet’s or doctor’s certificate, in which case the entry may be refunded less £5 admin
  • Abandonment In the event of the competition being abandoned, for whatever reason, a refund of 50% of the entry fee will be given. In such an instance the refund process will be communicated and must be followed.
  • Objections Objections must be made only by the District Commissioner or their appointed representative, in writing and accompanied by a deposit of £50 to the Chief Steward. Any objections must be made no later than 30 minutes after scores have been published. The deposit will be forfeited unless the Jury of Appeal decides that there were good and reasonable grounds for them.
  • Insurance: The Pony Club ‘Public and Products Liability Insurance’ Policy includes cover for all the official Area Competitions and the Championships. Details of this insurance are available on The Pony Club website. In the event of any accident, loss or damage occurring to a third party or to the property of a third party (including the general public and competitors) no liability should be admitted, and full details should be sent at once to The Pony Club Office.
  • Health & Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
  • Legal Liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
  • The organisers do not hold themselves responsible for anything that may happen to competitors, spectators, their property, horses in connection with or arising out of this event. It shall be a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the organizers against any legal action arising from any incident
  • If any horse/pony has been in contact with strangles or any other infectious disease, it should not attend any events
  • Horses/ponies must not be tied up outsides boxes/trailers and left unattended
