Class 1: 70cm Fences: Max. 70cm (approx. 2’3”)

Dressage Test: British Eventing 95 (2012)

Class 2: 80cm Fences: Max. 80cm (approx. 2’7”)

Dressage Test: British Eventing 95 (2012)

Class 3: 90cm Fences: Max. 90cm (approx. 2’11”)

Dressage Test: British Eventing 95 (2012)

Class 4: 1m Fences: Max. 1m (approx. 3’3”)

Dressage Test: British Eventing 101 (2009)

Please note - the order of the classes may not be run as above, each competitor will be given an individual time.

Entry Fee: £60, plus an additional start fee of £10 which must be paid to the secretary when declaring.

Entries close one week prior, or earlier if the event is oversubscribed. Late entries may be accepted after the closing date if space permits, these will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. A £3 late entry fee per class will apply.

Format

Scoring will be worked out on penalties per phase. There will be an optimum time on the Cross Country course, penalties for which will be included in the score. Certain fences on the Cross Country course may have a black flag option (alternative) but these will attract time or penalty points. These will be clearly marked. Classes may be divided into sections dependent on number of entries.

Rules

What to Wear

  • Appropriate competition wear must be worn during all phases
  • You must wear an up to standard Hat (as per British Eventing Rules)
  • You must wear an up to standard Body Protector (Level 3 Body Protector - with the year 2009 or 2018) for the Cross Country phase.
  • If an Air Jacket is worn, this must be worn over a standard Body Protector
  • You will need to provide your own number bib (a limited supply will be available to purchase in our shop on the day)

Start times will be published 48 hours before the event and will be available on this event page.

Declaring

A cash start fee of £10 must be paid to the secretary when declaring. Competitors are to declare at the show secretary’s tent to collect their numbers before entering the warm up arena.

Rosettes & Prizes

Rosettes and Prize Vouchers are awarded up to 6th place, dependent on the number of entries in each class.

Qualifiers

  • This competition runs qualifiers for the Saracen Horse Feeds Brigante Cup at 80cm, 90cm and 1m. The top 2 competitors will automatically qualify. Competitors placed 3rd to 10th will gain points and the top X% of the Points League will qualify. For furhter information please click here
  • These classes are qualifiers for The Saracen Connemara Eventing  Championships to be held on 10th/11th September 2022 at Swalcliffe Park, Oxfordshire OX15 5EX (Swalcliffe Park Equestrian To qualify you must be placed in the top 10 of your section or have a double clear. In order to compete at the Championship, the owner of the pony needs to be a member of the British Connemara Pony Society. Ponies must be pure, part-bred or overheight Connemaras, which are registered or overstamped on the BCPS database. The pony must be in the correct ownership.
