TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Run in accordance with British Show Jumping Rules 2016.

1 Entries
1.1 All entries must be received by Monday 8th August 2016
1.2 All entries must be via www.horsemonkey.com and be accompanied by the correct payment.
1.3 Late entries will NOT be accepted. Priority of entry will be given to those competing on all three days.
1.4 There will be NO REFUNDS for withdrawal after the closing date, however, riders may substitute or change classes.
1.5 Riders or Owners of stallions must ensure notice is given when entering a stallion – this should be clearly marked on both entry and stabling forms. The organisers reserve the right to refuse access to the stabling area for stallions that have not been declared as such in advance – in such cases, no refund will be given.
Rule 82.21 – No Member of the British Show Jumping shall allow a stallion for which he is responsible as owner, lessee, authorised agent, or rider to attend a show, compete, or be prepared to compete in any show jumping competition without taking adequate precautions to ensure other horses/ponies, competitors and members of the public are not put at risk of injury.
Stallion owners/riders are also asked to note and comply with Rule 102.11.
1.6 The Organisers reserve the right to refuse an entry without stating a reason and alter or cancel any published class.
1.7 Entries will be RESTRICTED in every class. Please enter every class you think you will jump as late entries may not be possible if classes have reached their limit for entries. Do not enter finals until you qualify.
1.8 No ticket to ride entries will be accepted for any class. Competing BE riders may ride on a ticket with permission from the organisers.

2 Stabling
2.1 Stabling will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
2.2 Stabling applications can be made by completing the online form http://www.blairhorsetrials.co.uk/home/stabling-applications. Cheques should be made out to Blair Castle Estate Ltd, with the reference number generated on completion of the online form written clearly on the back of the cheque.
2.3 Stabling will not be confirmed without payment
2.4 The stable manager for Show Jumping will be Jacquie Muirhead.
2.5 On-site stabling will be provided at a cost of £110 (inclusive of VAT) from Wednesday 24th August to Sunday 28th August inclusive.
2.6 Stables will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival.
2.7 Straw bedding will be provided. Shavings may be purchased at an additional cost and can be pre ordered with the Stable Manager.
2.8 Stabling refunds – cancellations must be received no later than 1st August. After this date cancellations will not be refunded unless the stable can be re-allocated.

3 Declarations
3.1 Declarations for each competition must be made with the Pocket Steward, with the exception of Speed Classes.
3.2 Competitions will run consecutively and the onus is on the competitor to be present on time.
3.3 The Organising Committee reserve the right to change classes with prior permission from British Show Jumping from one arena to another if numbers warrant this.

4 Prize Money.
4.1 Prize Money – Prize money vouchers will be presented at the conclusion of the relevant class. These vouchers can be redeemed for cash at the BS Secretary’s Office adjacent to the Banvie arena between 1pm and 6pm.
4.2 Any vouchers not redeemed at the event may be sent to the Horse Trials Office no later than 14th September. No payments will be made after this date.
4.3 Competitors are asked to note that Rule 76.6.1 – Withholding Prizes – will be enforced where applicable.

5 Horse Box Parking / Entry Passes
5.1 Two wristbands will be supplied per entry and one wristband for each additional entry thereafter, and one additional wristband for each entry to be ridden by a person 16 years or under.
5.2 One vehicle pass will be issued per entry form. Additional cars must park in the public car park. All further admission passes and vehicle passes must be booked and paid for through our online box office. One Horsebox Pass will be sent with entry confirmation to allow the lorry/trailer to be parked in the BS lorry park.
5.2 Due to the limited space within the Horsebox Park only those Lorries or trailers containing horses will be allowed entry. Empty horseboxes and trailers will be expected to park in the public car park.
5.3 Camping: Only competitors who have booked stabling are permitted to stay overnight in their horse boxes. Additional camping for tents or caravans is available in the lorry park on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact the horse trials office directly to book this.
5.4 Competitors who have not booked stabling must leave the showground at the end of the show day.
5.5 Horses may not be kept in horseboxes overnight. Pens are not permitted overnight or during the day. Anyone erecting pens will be asked to take them down. You will only be issued passes for the relevant days of competition you have entered. You will not be able to gain access to the event on any other day without the correct tickets.
5.6 Full catering, bar and shower facilities will be available on site from Wednesday 24th August.

6 General
6.1 Dogs are permitted on the Showground, but MUST be on a lead at all times. Blair Castle Estate Ltd requests that people are considerate and please pick up fouling left by their dogs. Free bags are available from either the Stable Manager’s Office or from the main Information Marquee. Anyone found in violation of this will be required to donate £10 to the event’s chosen charity, or will be asked to leave the venue immediately. No refunds will be given.
6.2 Competitors attention is drawn to Rule 82 – Conduct of Members. It is expected that competitors abide by this rule at all times when on the showground.
6.3 Liability: Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the Organisers, Atholl Estates, Blair Castle Estate Ltd, nor any Agent, employee or representative of these bodies accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury, illness to horses, riders, owners, grooms, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.
6.4 Insurance: All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their horses. They are therefore strongly advised to take out a third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events at home and abroad and to keep the policy up to date.
6.5 Loss or damage: The organisers accept no responsibility whatsoever for loss, injury or damage, however caused, to any person, animal or property of the Showground, in stables or in car park.
6.6 Children: Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult while riding/handling horses or ponies, with the exception of while competing in a class.

7 Curfew
There is a curfew on riding of 7pm throughout the event. This includes warm up arenas and hacking as well as competition arenas. Horses may still be exercised in hand or lunged after this time. Anyone found riding after curfew may be asked to leave the venue. No refunds will be given for stabling or entry fees.


Leading Rider Award
To be presented directly after Class 26 in the Tilt Arena
A rug will be presented to the leading rider / horse at the show. Points towards the Leading Rider Award shall be based on the following criteria:
(i) The top 6 placed riders in each open class (excluding class 29) will receive points as follows:
1st – 6pts; 2nd – 5pts; 3rd – 4pts; 4th - 3pts; 5th – 2pts & 6th – 1pt
(ii) In the event of a rider having two horses placed within the top 6 places only the highest placed horse will receive points and the points will NOT move down the line to the next horse.
(iii) If there is a tie for any position the points for the tied places will be totalled together and divided equally between the tied placed riders

Class 23 will be confined to qualified combinations only. Competitors must jump clear in the first round of the qualifying class. Top 15 horses in classes 2 & 10

Blair Atholl Estates 1.10m Championship Final
Class 24 Confined to qualified combinations only. Competitors must jump clear in the first round of the qualifying class. Top 15 horses in classes 4 & 12

Blair Atholl Estates 1.20m Championship Final
Class 24 Confined to qualified combinations only. Competitors must jump clear in the first round of the qualifying class. Top 15 horses in classes 7 & 15
