Notes

This is an opportunity for riders working at Novice and Elementary levels to access FREE training in support of our coaches taking the Level 2 Accreditation. The coaches will deliver a 30 - 45 minute lesson to demonstrate their ability as a part of their training on this BDCC course. The coaches are a mix of riders, Listed Judges and experienced coaches with qualifications from other awarding bodies such as the BHS. Sessions are supervised by Islay Auty and Andrew Fletcher Level 3 Coach Educators. BD Youth riders under 18 are welcome accompanied by a parent. This counts as a regional training session towards team selection. What is BDCC? The BD Coaching Certificate is a government recognised qualification for sport coaches. To achieve the certificate candidates have to show their ability to –Plan and link sessions, conduct safe Coaching sessions with the rider’s wants and needs at the centre of everything they do, evaluate their own coaching as well as the way of going of the horse, use a variety of Coaching styles relevent to the rider.Coach groups of riders (similar to Coaching at a BD clinic or camp) at Prelim to Elementary level.
