Two Day Kentish Festival of Dressage

Whatever your dressage experience, this competition is to help you reach your goals. You will compete in a two-day show, with a freestyle element on the second day.

We ask you to be honest and open on the entries and enter the level you are happy to compete at. If a combination has scores over 70% at the level above your entry level, you will not be eligible to compete at this level. Please do not enter two levels below the level you compete at to make this a fair competition. For example, if the combination competes at Elementary you will not be eligible to compete at prelim. Your entry levels can be Novice and Elementary. If you have scores above 70% at Elementary, your entry levels will be Elementary and/or Medium.

All combinations entered for the first days Festival class will go straight through to the freestyle on the second day.

This is an open competition, all riders of all ages and experience will compete against one another in the class they wish to enter. You are more than welcome to enter more than one class if you wish.

The overall winners and places will be the highest combination scores from the two days in the competition classes (warm up classes do not count towards your score).

You must compete at the same level on both days.

Competition attire must be worn when competing and bridle numbers, which will be issued when times are given out.

For all tests and rules please refer to British Dressage.

On arrival, present your horses’ passport to the show secretary. This will be repeated on every entry, regardless of seeing the passport in the past. All horses must be vaccinated and up to date for Flu/Tetanus.

We hope our visitors and competitors will understand that the welfare of the horses is of paramount importance and that we have a duty to check that all vaccinations are up to date.

Correct Tack must be worn. Double bridles can be worn at elementary level and above.

Times will be available on our social media pages’ Aster Horses’ five days before the show is scheduled.

Prize giving’s will take place on the second day after each class has finished.

Entries may have to close early if we reach our maximum number of competitors.

We are fully licensed for PPL/PRS to run Freestyle classes.

Please be respectful of the venue, take all litter home and clean up your droppings/hay.

We will run under national guidelines related to all Covid protocol.

If unable to attend on the day, provide a vet certificate to verify reasons. A refund will then be issued.

We hope you enjoy the experience and we look forward to seeing you soon.
