COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY AND RULES FOR ATTENDING:
Home Farm Stables (Hack Track or Arena Hire)
Following government advice and guidelines from the relevant authorities, Home Farm Stables, will be open for facility hire from 28th July 2020.
All bookings and payments are to be made via email (info@hfstables.co.uk) and payments via online direct bank transfer. You will be given our bank details and a booking ref to use. This MUST be within our account no later than 24hrs after booking and No REFUNDS will be given once paid.
The following procedures and rules have been put in place: DO NOT ATTEND THE SITE IF YOU OR ANY OF THOSE TRAVELLING WITH YOU ARE EXHIBITING ANY SYMPTOMS OF BEING UNWELL.
Please ensure you carry hand sanitiser with you while you ride and you sanitise your hands pre and post touching any equipment / gates or handles.
There will be buckets with disinfectant in at various locations around the course please place relevant equipment in these once you have completed (further instructions will be given to you on arrival with this regards).
When you arrive on site please park in the paddock next to the drive in front of the arena.
If you are using the arena you will be able to access it from the front paddock, through gate (1).
Please DO NOT use the tap or water on the front paddock you must bring your own supply.
Please close the gate behind you and keep shut.
Once in the carpark we will ask you for your signed disclaimer and copy (or site of) your horse’s passport. A minimum of an annual vaccinations required.
You will have been allocated a parking space on booking PLEASE stay within the general area of that space wherever possible.
You do not need to ‘sign in’ or ‘out’ as you will be greeted and the gate will be locked after your departure.
Limited amount of horses will be allowed on the site any one time. Please adhere to your allocated times so that we can limit these numbers effectively.
Each booking will be given a 2 hr slot on the course which is ample time to have a play with all the obstacles, you should arrive no more than 30 mins. before and leave within 30 mins. of finishing.
No toilet facilities are available (please make your own arrangements within your transport, do not tip ANYTHING other than horse muck on the muck pile, situated in the parking paddock take it home!!)
If hacking to us please enter directly into the parking paddock, there is a mounting block on either side of the gate.
You must maintain current social distancing and hygiene practices wherever possible.
You must follow the current government guidelines at all times especially if there become localised outbakes.
Please bring adequate provisions of food and water for humans and horses non will be available on site.
You must consider the risk of your activity and ride your horse in the area safe to do so and within your capabilities and fitness levels for you and your horse.
Home Farm stables current rules must be strictly obeyed at all times – this includes any verbal updates you may receive on arrival. We reserve the right to refuse access to the site at any time.

1. Neither Home Farm Stables. Nor anyone in their employ is available during the day on the Hack Track and accordingly all those who wish to school their horse/pony do so entirely at their own risk.
2. Home Farm Stables, for themselves, their servants, agents, employees and all those connected with the Hack Track/Home Farm Stables/Adjoining grounds do not accept any liability for any damage, whether occasioned by negligence or breach of contract or statutory duty of themselves, their servants, agents, employees or those connected with the premises of Home Farm Stables or adjoining grounds or otherwise however.
3. It is an express condition of every person entering upon the property that he/she agrees, and if he/she is under 18 years of age, his/her parent or accompanying adult also agree that he/she does so at his/her own risk and voluntarily accepts the risk of injury to damage that is implicit in riding a horse on, in open fields with natural and manmade obstacles and jumps.
4. Anyone under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
5. No riders under 3 years of age.
6. No horses under 4 years of age are allowed under saddle.
7. Horses may be ridden in tack appropriate to disciplines of western/english or side saddle, all tack must be correctly fitted and of good repair.
8. All those wishing to jump are advised to wear appropriate protective equipment in accordance with British Eventing guidelines, principally riding hats to meet current British Standards, body protectors and boots with heels. All those mounted on Horseback at ANYTIME must wear a hat to meet current British standards and suitable footwear. For more details go to www.britisheventing.com
9. Strictly NO dogs onsite.
10. Strictly NO galloping.
11. Please stick to the mowed grass areas ONLY do NOT cross areas where the grass is uncut.
12. Please respect the natural wildlife / livestock and neighbouring properties and keep your voices low (where possible).
13. No more than 1 horse/rider/handlers may be presented at any obstacle/jump at a time.
14. All none jump obstacles are to be completed in walk only, with exception of the mounted games equipment where you should use your judgment of your own skill level and horse’s ability.
15. If your horse is fearful or unconfident of any of the obstacles or equipment you are advised NOT to proceed unless accompanied by an instructor. We hold regular confidence with obstacles lessons please do ask if you would like to attend one following your visit.
16. We do not advocate the excessive use of whips/spurs or shouting.
17. The obstacles are designed to test you and your horse’s versatility and simulate many obstacles that you may encounter out hacking, they are not designed to be completed with speed.
18. There are various mounting blocks dotted about the route should you need to dismount and remount.
19. There are also a few gates that need to be shut to prevent any loose horse running to far – this will be further explained to you on arrival.
20. If you notice any damage to equipment, obstacles or general area caused either by yourself or others, you must report it immediately.
21. Each adult MUST carry a mobile phone.
22. Any person attending must have their own liability insurance and we may request proof of such.
23. On your arrival you will be greeted to collect this disclaimer and you may be given further verbal instructions depending on the ground conditions / weather of a change of obstacles, you must adhere to any further verbal instruction you are given.
24. All u 16’s will receive a WELL DONE rosette on completion of the hack track these will be handed out in line with the current COVID guidelines.
25. Max of 3 children u 16 per adult. Max of 6 on the course at any one time (including instructor).
26. I have read and understand the additional HFS Covid document and will abide by these additional rules or any superseding government guidelines at the time of my visit.



I________________¬¬¬¬__________ have read and understood the conditions below and agree to be bound by observe them and to absolve Home Farm Stables of any responsibilities and anyone else connected with the hire of the facilities for any injury, accident, theft, damage or losses that I might suffer whilst on, over or near any Jumps, Obstacle or ‘natural terrain, considered part of ‘Home Farm Stables’. I agree Horse riding/handling in its nature is a risk sport that I have willingly undertaken and I am therefore fully responsible for my health, wellbeing and safety or any of those in my company at the time of my attendance.
