Notes

This will be the first of our BS pony training shows. We have to adhere to extremely strict social distancing guidelines. Due to this a rider can ONLY compete in ONE category per show, no exceptions. The categories are as follows: 1- 60 & 70cm 2- 70 & 80cm 3- 80 & 90cm 4- 90 & 100cm 5- 100 & 110cm 6- 110 & 115cm Entries will be capped to just 5 riders per section to ensure that no rider is in a group with any more than 6 people at any time during the day. Each group will park in their own designated parking area away from any other groups, the group will course walk, warm up and warm down together ensuring strict social distancing at all times. Each group will be given specific times to course walk, warm up and compete. Each rider will warm up with their group, jump their first round, wait in the cool down arena until all other members of their group have jumped then all re enter the warm up arena to warm up again for their second round. The course will be altered in height only thus removing the need for a second course walk. After riders in the group have cooled down after their second round they will return to their designated parking bay to un tack, load and leave the premises. Results will be available on our facebook page. Results will not be recorded on ponies BS records. There will be no prize giving at the venue and no prize money paid. Once a category is full we will not be able to accept any additional entries. Open to any rider aged 16 and under riding a pony of 148 cm or under in accordance with BS national rules. Follow link to view BS rule book (specifically see Rule 77.16 on page 78). https://www.britishshowjumping.co.uk/_files/MH2020V5APRILOV.pdf All classes will be run as an open competition and single phase. Classes are open to both BS members and non members. BS members must enter horses registered name when entering and provide both horse and riders membership numbers even though results will not be recorded on bs records. Non members must obtain a ticket to ride (FOC) from BS via link. This is so that non members are covered under BS insurance. Non BS members will not be allowed to compete without a ticket. The ticket reference must be provided at the time of entry. Please enter the reference number in the horses and riders membership number sections of the entry form and also in the notes section. If a ticket number is not provided at the time of entry the entry will be rejected. Entries will be capped and will be on first come first serve basis with priority being given to BS members. All entries must be via Horse Monkey in advance. Entries close 72 hours prior to the competition with times allocated 48 hours prior to competition. You will not be permitted to jump if you miss your time slot. British Showjumping have issued competitor guidance on training shows which can be found here: https://britishshowjumping.co.uk/_files/Competitor%20information%20on%20British%20Showjumping%20Training%20Shows.pdf The Venue Sanitising stations are located at key points around the venue. Cleaning will take place on the show day by a COVID19 cleaning marshall who will also be monitoring social distancing for the duration of the show. Toilets will have enhanced sanitising/hand sanitiser/soap alongside hot running water and hand towels. There will be NO catering provision on site and so competitors are advised to bring their own refreshments. The First Aid point will be clearly marked and there will be qualified First Aiders on site. However, there will be no paramedic in attendance on training days. Where First Aid is required, if possible it is preferable that a member of the riders household administer this, under guidance from the First Aider to allow social distancing to be maintained. The Show Day & Parking On arrival at the show, all entries will be checked at the gate. No admittance to anyone not on the start list. No exception. At pony shows people in attendance are limited to one adult per child and one additional person allowed for any additional ponies entered. A parking attendant will allocate vehicles a parking slot marked out in accordance with social distancing regulations (minimum of 5m between each slot). Tacking up and un tacking must take place within your designated parking area. Practice Arena & Course Walk The warm up arena will be on surface and will be manned by a steward who will ensure social distancing is maintained at all times. There will be a maximum of 5 riders in the warm up at any one time, and any adjustments to the warm up fences will be made by the steward only. No spectators or grooms will be allowed in the warm up arena. The steward will be a fully qualified riding instructor. Competitors will be given a specified warm up time and allowed a minimum of 15 minutes to warm up. The course walk will be at a specified time and competitors must comply with 2m social distancing rules. The Competition Competitors will be called to the competition ring at their allocated time (given 48 hours prior to the competition). One competitor to be in the ring at any one time. Entry and exit points will be in separate locations. Separate cool down arena on grass; return to designated parking area to untack and load up prior to leaving the show. No prize giving will take place on the day, result will be posted on our Facebook page. No prize money. Please read the COVID19 policy on our website prior to attending the show. By entering the competition you are confirming that you have read and understood the policy. It is essential that the Government guidelines during the COVID 19 pandemic around social distancing are strictly adhered to for the successful continuation of equestrian sports. We thank everyone for their continued support and cooperation.
