Virus Free Dressage Tushingham Online Dressage League In light of the current COVID-19 situation and the BD cancellation of all events, we’re offering a chance to keep competing by being part of our online dressage league. Classes will be offered from Prelim to Advanced Medium. All tests judged by listed BD judges as standard – BUT with the optional extra of getting additional feedback from the judge on how they think you could make some extra marks via a top tip. Format Each fortnight we will launch a new competition – the tests to be advised on the Tushingham facebook page and on the online entry site Horsemonkey.com Competitors must ride the nominated test to be eligible for a placing and leaderboard points. There will be one test at each level (all 40 x 20m tests), riders may compete in up to two levels should they wish. Riders will have one week until closing day to video their test and upload it using the information below. Entries must be paid for before Video Tests are uploaded. All judging will take place within 24hrs of closing, meaning your results will be published online within two days. Test sheets will be posted out and rosettes awarded for 1st – 3rd place (entry dependent). Every rider will be awarded ranking points to go towards our league tables – which will run until 30th September. First place will gain 6 points, second place 5 points and so on until 6th place. The winner of each level of the league table at the end of the series will be presented with a framed art print by German artist Jan Kunster (retail price £80), the runner up of each level will win a free arena hire at Tushingham. Rules The competition will run using BD tack rules in terms of allowed bits, equipment and so on, riders must wear appropriate riding attire (hat, boots etc) but do not need to wear competition jackets or white / light breeches. If in any doubt please check with us. How to enter When entries open for each competition you will have one week to film your test and upload it. Please film your test from behind C with no breaks in the video. Videos to filmed in landscape. Start filming your test before you enter at A, to give the judge time to see your entry Try keep the horse in the centre of the frame and avoid too much zooming in – the judge needs to see the whole horse and the part of the arena you are in at all times If using a smart phone please record in landscape Please ensure you have sound ON your video You can enter either by uploading your video on Horsemonkey.com or you can upload to youtube and sending us the link or you can send the video via a file transfer programme such as Dropbox or WeTransfer, sending us the link to download. For any technical queries please email hello@mopmedia.co.uk Tushingham Online Freestyle Dressage League Alongside our regular dressage tests we will be running a combined Freestyle to Music League – for riders of any level from Prelim to Advanced Medium. Riders can complete their tests in a 20 x 60m arena or a 20 x 40m area and should follow the BD guidelines for required movements and time limits at each level You can enter the competitions as many times as you like to try improve your scores – at the end of the competitions your top three scores will count – with the best overall total score winning the league. Please ensure the sound is clear on your video so the judges can accurately judge your music as well as the technical side of your test.
