EARLY BIRD ENTRIES - by 12 noon on Monday before competition - SAVE £2 per class ENTRIES CLOSE - WED 12 Noon - times will be posted by 6pm Thursday This is an Indoor Cross country competition series comprising of 3 fixtures.. There will be a mixture of 12-15 fences placed within the Indoor arena, these will include some solid fences, angled rails, corners and cross country like combinations. The degree of difficulty will increase as the jumps are raised. The winner will be the one with least faults and nearest the optimum time which will be based on a speed of 350m/min. The Winner will receive 6 points, 2nd - 5 points, 3rd - 4 points, 4th - 3 points, 5th - 2 points, 6th - 1 point. DOUBLE POINTS at the final. The overall winner will receive an ISEC CHAMPION RUG ! Rosettes will be awarded for 1st - 6th place. There will also be prizes of Harbro Vouchers. Faults will be awarded as follows; • 4 faults for a knockdown • 4 faults for first refusal • 8 faults for the 2nd refusal • 3 refusals = elimination • Fall of horse or rider = elimination • Every second over the optimum time = 1 fault • This competition will run by BE Cross Country rules with the exception of the following; • XC must be worn, body protectors and hard hats (without fixed peak) to BE XC Standards are mandatory. Class 1 - Mini - Max height 65cm - combinations of horse & riders not to have won more than two cross country competitions / arena events at this height or above or completed a BE Event. Class 2 - Nursery- Max height 75cm - combinations of horse & riders not to have won more than two cross country competitions / arena events at this height or above or been placed 1st-3rd at a BE Event. Class 3 Novice - Max height 85cm - - combinations of horse & riders not to have won more than two cross country competitions / arena events at this height or above. Class 4 Intermediate - Max height 95cm - Open to all Class 5 Open - Max height 1m05 - Open to all. ISEC General Rules • A horse/pony may not be shared in any 1 class • A horse/pony may only compete in a maximum of 3 jumping classes • Rosettes will be awarded 1st to 6th in every class • An Up to date riding hat must be worn at all times when mounted. • In the interests of safety any rider falling in the warm up area must be checked by a first aider before continuing • Any fall whilst actually competing results in elimination • NO DOGS ALLOWED IN CENTRE BUILDINGS AT ANYTIME • Dogs must be kept in vehicles at all times • Horses must not be left tied to trailers / Lorries unattended at ANYTIME. • Competitors must park as instructed. • All Ridden ponies and horses must be 4 years or over • Objections must be lodged in writing with the secretary, accompanied by a deposit of £5. • By entering a class at this venue, you agreeing to abide by the rules. • The horse/pony must have received two injections for primary vaccination against equine influenza given no less than 21 days and no more than 92 days apart. Only these two injections need to have been given before a horse/pony can compete in competitions. In addition, a first booster injection must be given no less than 150 days and no more than 215 days after the second injection of the primary vaccination. Subsequently, booster injections must be given at intervals of not more than one year apart.
